Hong Kong Protesters Fight with Arrows and Gas Bombs

This is why we have the 2nd Amendment… so we can use our guns – not arrows – to fight a totalitarian government.

Police have besieged a university campus in Hong Kong occupied by protesters who have been fighting back with arrows and petrol bombs.

Officers have warned that they could use live ammunition if protesters do not stop attacking them using such weapons.

A media liaison officer was earlier wounded in the leg with an arrow near the Polytechnic University (PolyU).

Months of anti-government protests have caused turmoil in the city.

The latest violence is however some of the worst the semi-autonomous Chinese territory has seen since the movement began. The police have become targets for radical demonstrators, who accuse them of excessive force.

Police have so far been responding to violence around the PolyU campus mostly with tear gas and water cannon.

Our local liberals are very mute on denouncing their Marxist China brethren here.

    Awful. Just awful.

Someone could write a plugin for this site that emulates Kevin.  Any bad thing in the world, it could emit some text that blames local liberals for being awful because they haven’t spoken out against something he thinks is evil in the world.

    Jjf,

    Then prove me wrong!

Denounce China, its Marxism, and leftist Marxist ideology in practice here.

You can’t because you libs advocate destructive, human right abusing ideology.

When lefties are so readily embrace evil, we have to start with basic right and wrong.

Can you spit out a minimal denouncement of evil leftist ideology in action against poor Hong Kong?

    No?

Kevin, That site’s estimate of people killed by their own government is 100 million. The actual number is many times that figure as there were 262 million disarmed people killed by their own government in the 20th century alone.

Oh, Kevin.  I’m not a communist.  Not pro-communist.  No fan of Marxism.  Not even eager to stand at a bully pulpit and declare that Geye-nah or North Korea and their leaders are great.  It’s only in your mind.  Except for the last part, I was talking about Trump.  Because he thinks those guys are great!

So is it just communism you’re worried about, or authoritarians in general?  Me, I am concerned about both.  I always looked at Hong Kong and thought it would be a flash point some day.

I’d much rather hear Owen’s imagination when it comes to how the populace will defend itself with guns, even if they had them.  Or how the civil war is going to go down here in the USA.  So let’s run with it…  if the HK protests had guns on both sides, who’d be the victor?

    jjf,

That is the weakest tea denouncement if leftism I have seen.

How about a good old fashion “Communism/socialism/leftism is human rights abuse evil as evidence by communist China?”

That is at least taking a decent, moral stand.

    “I’m no fan….” what a non-statement.

    Mike,

I apologize if I underestimated the total, despicable, evil of leftist ideology.   Great info update!

  8. jjf

Thing is, the list of evil is endless, isn’t it?  Why is it my job to jump when you ask the monkey to jump, and then if I don’t jump exactly the right way, you think I’m complicit with evil #2090949?

Gee, this kind of smells like authoritarian bullying.

    jjf,

Just looking for some semblance of opposition to the most heinous parts of liberalsim…I barely can get you to do a weak tea opposition.

What China is doing is awful, despicable, reprehensible, and disgusting.

Can you work up a little better denouncement of your fellow ideological bretheran in China?

Show us you have reasonable discrenment of good and evil.

Careful, Kevin, one of the demands of the Hong Kong protestors is to investigate police brutality.  That’s a sin!  And they want a top leader to step down!  That’s probably a sin, too!  And they want people freed from jails!  Where’s the rule of law?

  11. Kevin Scheunemann

Sine China is a corrupt, evil government, it is one’s duty to oppose them.

Any Marxust government is worthy of overthrow.

However, you cannot bring yourself to criticize ot beyond saying “I’m not a fan…”

You are disgusting equating China’s government with the USA. Awful. Just awful…and reprehensible.
