Scott Walker Drops Out of Race

Wow. I thought he’d make it through Iowa, at least. The money must have completely dried up.

Washington (CNN)Scott Walker is dropping out of the Republican presidential race, according to a GOP strategist close to the campaign and a senior GOP adviser with knowledge of his plans.

The governor of Wisconsin entered the primary in July as a front-runner — a darling of both the conservative base and powerful donors after winning his battles against public unions in his left-leaning home state.

Walker has called a 6 p.m. ET news conference in Madison, Wisconsin, where he is expected to announce his decision to withdraw from the race.

He’s out. Hillary is still in.

What an absurd world we live in.

The country judged his great victories over gray haired teachers and courage in cutting education and collectively yawned .

He and President Guliani need to write a book about how not to run for President .

Has anyone ever gone from first to sub1%
Before the end of October over one year before an election .

I guess it just shows how much smarter The folks in are than us .

That’s what you think is absurd about this race so far? On behalf of my planet, I’d like to welcome you to earth!

At the end of the day Walker wasn’t ready for the big pond.

I give him a ton of credit for clearing the field out. Rand, Huck, Linsday, Bobby, George, John and Chris need to do the same.

Will Walker campaign staffers have to urinate in a cup to collect their unemployment benefits? I hope so, piling humility on top of humility might bring them to some realizations about how the rest of society is forced to operate under Walker. I see his approval rating in Wisconsin dipping even further.

    Mark,

That may be. However with Walker we never had to worry about him protecting a predator like Bill Clinton.

Hillary doing the “right to be believed” sexual assault ad is worse than Bill Clinton teaching a marital fidelity seminar.

That ad should have got her to sub zero in the polls given the litter of women she has silenced over the years, victimized by her husband.

God told him to run for president, and then God changed his mind. How does that happen???

  8. the bystander

“Scott Walker is still a disgrace, just no longer national,” AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka said in a one-line statement as news outlets began reporting Walker’s exit from the campaign.

    Exactly

    Pat,

Reagan did not win the first time he ran for president.

Are you sure God’s timing meant he was to win this presidential campaign?

  10. Pat

Kevin, Walker said he was waiting for God to tell him what to do and, according to Walker God spoke to him and gave him the go ahead. So I’m pretty sure God meant this election otherwise when he would have told him to wait.

“Something” is telling me it has to do with unmeasurable polling numbers and a bone dry cash box. Out is out, who cares if Tonette, his pet rock, the dog or God told him to get out. Just glad he is out. I am still wondering if his campaign staffers are going to have to piss in a cup to get their unemployment benefits.

The public saw a dim bulb who had never won an election concurrent with a presidential election in the blue state he governed

Perfect timing , perfect foils ( teachers )
    And lousy opponents

@39% , he wouldn’t have won his own state

    Pat,

Maybe the “trial” of this election cycle will sharpen him for the possible calling for the next/future election, and thus, a possible fullfillment of the original calling.

With that previous post, you do risk a “beware” those who claim to know the mind of God lecture from Mark…except it it’s used to tear down Walker.

    Kevin,
If’s and and’s were pots and pans, there’d be no need for dishes.

    Kev,
I’m equal opportunity when it comes to anyone declaring God is involved in sports or politics

I’ve never heard anyone BLAME God for a loss ,only that God was on their side in a win

Russel W and Scot W heard the voice of Russell W and Scott W in their heads

Next up – noted cosmologist Ben Carson and his assertion that the Big Bang theory and Evolution is a message sent by the Devil

    Mark,

This the basic difference between Christians and evolution/warming worshippers.

Christians understand that God’s delays may not be God’s denials. Reagan understood that before he became one of the great presidents in US history. (So did Lincoln).

For evolution followers such a situation seems like insurmountable loss because there is no grand design in the face of a hopeless existence.

    Ff,

Are you saying Scott and Tonette did not pray over the decision?
