America’s Leaky Intelligence Community

Given how cavalierly those at the top treat classified documents, is it any wonder why people at the bottom get sloppy.

Classified documents that appeared online, with details ranging from Ukraine’s air defenses to Israel’s Mossad spy agency, have U.S. officials scrambling to identify the leak’s source, with some experts saying it could be an American.

Officials say the breadth of topics addressed in the documents, which touch on the war in Ukraine, China, the Middle East and Africa, suggest they may have been leaked by an American rather than an ally.

“The focus now is on this being a U.S. leak, as many of the documents were only in U.S. hands,” Michael Mulroy, a former senior Pentagon official, told Reuters in an interview.

U.S. officials said the investigation is in its early stages and those running it have not ruled out the possibility that pro-Russian elements were behind the leak, which is seen as one of the most serious security breaches since more than 700,000 documents, videos and diplomatic cables appeared on the WikiLeaks website in 2013.

You are assuming that ‘people at the bottom’ did this without authorization from ‘those at the top.’

You are also assuming that those documents were not already in possession of foreign powers.

Or in the alternative, you are assuming that the Pentagon is telling the truth.

The info itself dictates who had access, so any faux investigation shouldn’t take but a minute. Start with Milley.

Source is likely a chinacom weather balloon.

Or how about this: we know that the Pentagon has been telling Bai-Den and his War-War NeoCon gang–and members of Congress–that this is not going to end well for Ukraine, and they’ve been saying that for months.

Pentagon has also let it be known that the US weapons-pantry is damn near bare-naked.

    Well, none of that worked.

So NOW the Pentagon decides to leak these papers which are totes pessimistic; they don’t think Zelenskiy can even hold Bakhmut, much less regain it, and the troop-losses he’s taken are horrific vs. the losses of the Russkies.

Maybe that will stop Victoria Nuland and the fat ex-REMF Ukie colonel from their scheming. It certainly should take the air out of NATO allies’ balloons.

Dad, sounds like “agency nonacquiescence” to me. I wonder if AOC sees it that way?

Milley sure has been quiet. Curious, no? He has demonstrated a willingness to work against his CiC. No cheerleading, no complaints. Now he has nothing to say?

on further review: the “leaker” is an E-3. Even if he DID have clearance and capability to filch E-ring Pentagon charts, he did NOT HAVE ACCESS to the CIA docs spilled. So how did he get them?

Begins to look like an op designed to utterly discredit Biden, Blinken, and Sullivan. The war–such as it is–is lost for Ukraine, and someone’ s going to take the fall. They’ll do to Biden what they did to Trump.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.
