Obama Continues to Lead From Behind

Way to get out in front, Obama!

Obama said: “The kind of leadership that’s guided by knowledge and experience; honesty and humility; empathy and grace – that kind of leadership doesn’t just belong in our state capitols and mayors offices. It belongs in the White House.

“That’s why I’m so proud to endorse Joe Biden for President of the United States.

“Choosing Joe to by my Vice President was one of the best decisions I ever made and he became a close friend

“And I believe Joe has all the qualities we need in a President right now.”

  1. Le Roi du Nord

Obama is certainly correct that Joe will be a much better leader than the egomaniac currently occupying the WH. So now an endorsement is a bad thing? Oh yah, it backfired in the WI SC race….

  2. Merlin

How incredibly brave of Obama to finally acknowledge the last guy standing, having done so much to support a close friend and national treasure like Biden. Obligation satisfied. Go back to your PlayStation, Mr. President.

  3. Mar

Le Roi, you mean Obama isn’t an egomaniac?

  4. jjf

You got him there, Mar!  Now we can’t talk about Trump!  That was amazing!

  5. Kevin Scheunemann

Tough to be an egomaniac when you can’t remember who you are…

I’ll take the president that remembers reality and has a healthy ego, over an old man suffering from mid stage Alzheimers.

  6. Mar

“I’ll take the president that remembers reality and has a healthy ego, over an old man suffering from mid stage Alzheimers.”
That’s not a nice thing to say about Joe Biden. It’s accurate but not nice.

  7. Le Roi du Nord

Any proof that Joe has mid-stage Alzheimer’s? Or are you just making that up to make yourself feel more important? Facts would be a plus.

  8. Mar

A pause of a second, Pat, you want to jump on him?
If that is the case, then Biden is at the end stage of dementia.

  9. Le Roi du Nord

So k, you want a super cut of trumps errors, lies, and blunders? Let’s ponder the British airports during the revolutionary war……

  10. Mar

He, Le Roi, you lie and he lies.
The big difference is that he is far more successful than you and liberal overlords.

  11. Kevin Scheunemann

Prefer that to this senile old fool.

Biden seriously does not know the office he is running for, or where he is a good chunk of the time!

No concern beats the senility nonsense of Biden…even Trump at his most bombastic and butchered out of context by you

You keep supporting the Alzheimers patient…Trump will eat him up in 30 seconds.

  12. Le Roi du Nord

And still no proof that he has Alzheimer’s.  You are just making that up.

    Awful.  Just awful.

  13. Mar

So, then, Le Roi, if he doesn’t have dementia, and I agree, then what is his problem of screwing up the most basic things.
    Please explain.

  14. Kevin Scheunemann

    Yes Nord, please explain…

  15. Le Roi du Nord

You forgot to answer. Try again.

So you agree that Joe doesn’t have dementia? Or are you talking in code again? And if screwing up “the most basic things “ is symptomatic of dementia, you should be gravely concerned about the current occupant.

    Try again.

  16. Kevin Scheunemann

We were entertaining your notion it is not dementia….what makes Biden so foolish then?

  17. Mar

Le ROI, you are just a hateful person, I really feel bad you.
I don’t joke about dementia as my day had it and i have worked with many dementia sufferers in my lifetime.
But you are such a hateful person towards President Trump and conservatives, it is painful to watch because you so look darn foolish and yes, uneducated.
And which policies by President Trump has hurt you personally?

  18. Le Roi du Nord

No we weren’t.  We were discussing your claim, “an old man suffering from mid stage Alzheimers”, and mar’s claim that “Biden is at the end stage of dementia” (BTW, they aren’t necessarily the same condition).  You guys started the discussion, not me, and you haven’t provided any proof of those claims.

So get your facts straight, quit the name calling, and act like a rational being.

  19. Kevin Scheunemann

We were going with your speculation it is not alzheimers….what explains his constant, public, memory fail, on simple, obvious things?

Why can’t you answer that question.

  20. Le Roi du Nord

As I have said numerous times here, I don’t hate anyone, not even you.  And FYI, my father and grandmother both had dementia, and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

But I didn’t bring dementia (nor Alzheimer’s) into the conversation, you and k did, so man up and accept responsibility. Or is that too big of a responsibility to ask of someone so highly educated as you?  Have you ever listened to trump and how he attacks anyone that disagrees with him, or how he constantly brags about his “success” and demeans everyone else?  Talk about a small and hateful man.  Or look in the mirror, where you call folks that disagree with you “uneducated’.  Pot, meet kettle.

As far as trump’s policies affecting me, let’s start with anything to do with the environment, education, and the military.  But I am more concerned about how those, and other policies and behaviors, will affect my kids and grand kids.  I’m more of a long-term thinker and doer than the current crop of “conservatives”, so that is where my concerns are focused.

  21. Le Roi du Nord

    Dr k:

Could you give us a formal diagnosis?  Facts would be helpful.

How about trump’s constant inability to remember what he just said.  He flip-flops positions even more than you do….  Just look at all the claims he made in the last month about covid19…  Or that the British had airports during the Revolutionary War.  Or that the earth is 6000 years old….

  22. jjf

Tell me, though… if you had to pick a new employee to hire, and all you had to judge was a video clip of them at a press conference, and one was Obama and one was Trump, which guy would you hire?

  23. Le Roi du Nord

Obama, hands down.  And I would ask trump about all the lies on his resume’.

  24. Jason

    >And I would ask trump about all the lies on his resume’.

But all you have was a video clip of them at a press conference.  Sorry, you lose.

  25. Mar

Le ROI, why can’t you write something without lyibg?
I wrote: “A pause of a second, Pat, you want to jump on him?
If that is the case, then Biden is at the end stage of dementia.”
You just lie and lie and lie and lie. And you complain about President Trump lying? You make him out to be a saint compared to you.
You di know a comparison is, don’t you?

  26. dad29

Go back to your PlayStation, Mr. President.

Look at the video of the endorsement.  That was not a PlayStation that he was on…….

  27. Mar

jjf, if you just had a video to off of, of course I would give with Obama. He’s a smooth talker. And then you would regret your decision about 3 days after he started and you would not be in business very long.
But if you go off of accomplishments, loyalty to country, work ethic, family loyalty and common sense intelligence, then of course it has to be President Trump.

  28. Mar

Le ROI, you are in school? The military invaded your home? You are sick because of the environment?
Do you even know what the word “personally” is?
Or are these just more lies from you?
You really are a pathological liar.
Or are you just not very smart?

  29. Le Roi du Nord

“why can’t you write something without lyibg?”

In addition to WI English I can speak fluent Yooper and Kentuck, but I”m not familiar with your native tongue.  Please translate.  Thanks.

“Biden is at the end stage of dementia”  That is your quote, is it not?  Or are there two highly educated, yet chronically forgetful, mars posting here?

To get to my video interview everybody would have to have some qualifications, even you.  But I acknowledge your point.

  30. Mar

Le Roi, you are just a pathetic uneducated loser.
You know you took my words out of context and yet, you won’t admit it. You know you didn’t use the whole quote. But you doubled down.
You obviously don’t know what a comparison is.
    You sir, need help.

  31. jjf

Gosh, Mar, why can’t we just have a civilized conversation?  It’s a mystery.

  32. Mar

It is a mystery that you don’t call out Le Roi for lying and just put everything on me.
The mysteries of the universe always amazes, doesn’t it.

  33. jjf

What did Le Roi “lie” about?

Hey, you’re the one who wondered why we can’t have a civil conversation around here, and in your style, you pile on the name-calling and insults.  Is that the way you’re prefer it to be?  Or is this just “he hit me first, ma”?

  34. Tuerqas

So we have a blowhard egomaniac and a brain sick egomaniac running for PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES and all you can do is point at ‘the other guy’?

Mar, Kevin, et al, we all know how you feel about Biden and I think those opinions are justified.

Le Roi, jjf we all know how you feel about Trump and I think your opinions are justified.

How can all of you sit there and defend one of these imbeciles, or probably more accurately, only attack one of them?

  35. MjM

Nort has only one line: ” Or that the British had airports during the Revolutionary War”.

Yes, and according to Hussein Obama,  “We’re the country that built the Intercontinental Railroad”.

    In “57 states.”

So, “hold on one second, sweetie”,  show some “R-S-P-C-E-T ” or a “corpse man”,  probably “a typical white person” from the tiny Kansas town where “ten thousand people died”, might put you in a “Polish death camp”.

But at least you’ll “see premiums fall by as much as 3,000 percent” due to reforms that “bring greater competition, choice, savings, and inefficiencies to out health care system”.

  36. Mar

jjf, I thought I said I wanted an intelligent conversation and Le Roi doesn’t bring that to the table.

  37. MjM

DMOTP Jiffy also blind as a Wuhan bat:  What did Le Roi “lie” about?

‘ “Biden is at the end stage of dementia”  That is your quote, is it not?’ -Nortomous

    No, of course it isn’t.

Actual Mar quote:  “If that is the case, then Biden is at the end stage of dementia.”

So, while it’s obvious you and Nort cannot comprehend the difference, what is obvious is Nort once again displaying the depth of his well-known hypocrisy.

  38. MjM

Tuerqas wonders: “How can all of you sit there and defend one of these imbeciles”

You conflate policy and personality.  Separate the two and perhaps you’ll understand us right-siders.

  39. Le Roi du Nord

Well guys, I don’t believe that either Biden nor trump have dementia or Alzheimer’s.  They both have issues and it looks like some of us can recognize that.  But I’m not the one that made any claims about either of them, that is Dr. k and mar.  But like trump they won’t take any responsibility at all.

  40. Pat

Both Biden and Trump are unappealing. The last election gave us two unappealing candidates too. So why do we accept two unappealing candidates to choose from?

The two party system has elections rigged for their benefit. Why not move to rank voting and allow for an actual system where third party candidates have a shot.

I’m waiting to see if Justin Amash decides to run. My personal opinion is he would be better than either of the two choices we’ll be stuck with. The problem is, the two party system is designed not to let anyone else play ball.

  41. Kevin Scheunemann

You are making claims about Trumps mental state all over the place.

    You are such a liar.

  42. Pat

For Christ sake, Kevin. Get a grip.

  43. Le Roi du Nord

I have never, ever said trump had Alzheimer’s or dementia.  Never. Ever.

It is you that is lying here yet again.  Awful.  Just awful.

  44. Kevin Scheunemann

You euphemisms like egomaniac, narcissistic, etc.

So don’t tell us that you do not make determinations on Trump’s mental state.

  45. jjf

Oh Tuerqas, you’re a breath of fresh air around here.  I’m not going to give you or anyone else a free pass for all future behavior, of course, but thank you for writing clearly and thoughtfully today.

Gotchas about gaffes?  So ridic, so childish.  If anyone of us were on the campaign trail for as long as any presidential candidate, shook as many hands as a President…  sheesh.  Yeah, you’re going to get mixed-up now and then.  Don’t try to tell me that Obama thinks there are fifty states and therefore this is evidence his mind isn’t there.

Sure, I’ll admit Biden doesn’t seem as sharp as he did ten years ago.  Again, same is true for any of us. Has he demonstrated any level of cognitive impairment that should concern any of us?

Sure, he seems to have shown a 1970s sense of creepiness that today seems quite inappropriate.  Has he stopped because he was called on it?  If he had done it recently, wouldn’t it be all over the news?   Can we ask any more of each of us?

And any armchair diagnosis of dementia and Alzheimer’s and who knows what else?  Again, too silly by yards.  Leave it to the doctors.  And also read your history – this did actually happen with Reagan, right?  So ask yourself, who was actually making the decisions when that happened?

But Trump, gadzooks, look at him.  Even if you don’t think he’s suffering from some mental incapacity, just judge his behavior as is.  As I heard it described the other day, it’s like he’s a fifth grader giving a book report for which he didn’t read the book, but he thinks he can B&S the teacher and the class, and he’s utterly convinced that he’s succeeding while he does it.

Trump’s lack of intellectual depth has always been concerning.  If he’s not charting the course, then who is?

  46. Le Roi du Nord

    Dr. k:

And again you are making it all up to make yourself feel more important and relevant.   Awful.  Just awful.
