National Debt to be $31.4 Trillion in 10 Years

Insane. These is country-ending debt.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Bryan Steil released a statement following the release of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office’s economic outlook for the next ten years. CBO projects the national debt will rise to $31.4 trillion by 2030.

“The CBO’s forecast for 2030 is highly concerning. We must take steps now to prevent this from occurring. First and foremost, Congress should not pass reckless spending bills like it has year after year. I continue to work with my colleagues to restore fiscal responsibility in Washington.”

Elect some of these socialist Democrats, it will be $50 trillion by 2025!

Democrats could make some hay criticizing Trump spending, but liberals only bitch he doesn’t spend fast enough! When faced with total liberal insanity, Trump is only sane choice.

Cut spending and RAISE TAXES. Neither one will get us out of this hole, but together, we may stand a chance.

And it wouldn’t hurt to look at a redo of the corporate tax system.

  3. Merlin

DC Republicans spend just like their counterparts, but will puff out their chests and claim fiscal responsibility if the number comes in at only $31.3 trillion.

This is a 2 party and president problem, though I have doubts about that amount.

  5. steveegg

You mean the God-King of Debt and Bankruptcy, Kevin?  It is precisely because of Trump’s, and the rest of DC’s, profligate spending and explicit refusal to deal with the long-term drivers of the debt, Medicare and Social Security, that the debt bomb is going off.

Oh, and that’s without the Democrats’ plan for full Socialism, which would double that amount even with all their tax increases.

  6. jjf

Gosh darn he’s going to do something about it!  Press releases are flying out the door!

  7. dad29

And it wouldn’t hurt to look at a redo of the corporate tax system.

The trick is to maximize revenues while AT THE SAME TIME maximizing the tax-attractiveness of the USA as headquarters.  There’s a balance point out there, somewhere.

    steve,

I was anybody but Trump in primary.   I barely choked out a vote for him in 2016.   As a result of his election, liberals have got so brazen, so vitriolic, so disgusting on spending, there is little sane choice: vote for Trump.   Anything else will make debt problem much, much worse.

Short of revolution, or evicting  spend crazy liberals from the country, what is the solution?

  9. jjf

Oh please Kevin make my day, tell me all about your plans for the revolution, pogrom, or “eviction.”

  10. Kevin Scheunemann

    jjf,

I don’t have plans, but those criticizing Trump on spending, I’d like to hear solutions.    It certainly is not the awful, communist Democrat candidates!

  11. jjf

Hey, you’re the one who mentioned revolution, pogrom, or “eviction.”  You must be thinking about it.  Tell me more!  Tell me how they wouldn’t be awful under your plan!

  12. Kevin Scheunemann

    jjf,

It was a rhetorical question….feel free to look up what that means.

  13. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

Because that makes a difference to liberal crazy town like “Green New Deal”, “Medicare for All”, etc, etc.

What a disgusting post when considering the cause of the real spending problem….liberal insanity.

Hey k, every little bit helps, right?  Your guy, that you defend at every opportunity, is spending lots of real money (mine and yours) for his own pleasure.  And at an unprecedented rate. Pretty good gig, no?

And if you haven’t noticed, Medicare for All will help more than just the current occupant and his immediate family.  Ditto Green New Deal.  Even you and yours.

But what this really points out is the hypocrisy of the current administration in DC.  And supporters like you.  Enjoy.

  15. jjf

Le Roi, they don’t care because Trump is doing other stuff they like.  Simple as that.

  16. Merlin

Trump donates his $400,000 annual salary back to various federal departments and has said he plans to do the same with his $207,800 annual pension after leaving office. Obama didn’t do that. Neither did Dubya or any of the others. The man is different.

Don’t be surprised if Trump cuts the Treasury a reimbursement check for the full amount of his personal travel/vacation expenses upon leaving office. Just because he can. And to flip off his legion of haters one more time.

Dems might want to keep a close eye on faux-Democrat Bloomie as he attempts to mimic Trump’s Republican end-around, but on the Democrats. Trump is a pauper and a really, really nice guy compared to Bloomie. Michael’s ad buys have started in Wisconsin already. Prepare to be dazzled/blinded like never before.

What you can’t add up Leroy in your small little myopic universe is that Trump is still a better choice than the other candidate on the ballot.  And in a few months he will be the better choice over whatever other candidate is on the ballot.   Sad for your stupid little piggy party candidates, no?

  18. Mar

Oh, come on Le Roi, Trump visits 1 place when he goes on vacation as oppose to Obama
Obama vacationed in all sorts of places, especially in Vegas when he visited his girlfriends. Then took vacations on the Hamptons and NYC among other swanky cities.
Trump doesnt do that. And he doesnt cross the country to visit his whores.

  19. dad29

tell me all about your plans for the revolution, pogrom, or “eviction.”

The Bernie Bros have one.  Check with them, Jiffy

  20. dad29

Delete Education, Transportation, OSHA, EPA, and HHS.  Cut SocSec bennies by 5% across the board.  Cut Pentagon by 5%.

And delete the FBI.  They have no credibility remaining.  Delete all of the CIA except humint and their management.  The rest is semi-useless.

Cancel all contracts for spying on US citizens and all contracts supporting same.  Turn Forest Service to the States, with a 10% reduction in spend–let the States figure it out.  They will.

Delete all spending directed to colleges and universities except research grants.

    That’s a start.

  21. jjf

Come on, Dad29, we all know you have ammo-related fantasies, too.  How will you storm City Hall to fight your oppressors?

  22. dad29

You’re writing about your own wet dreams again, Jiffster?

That’s called “projection.”  Very common among Lefties.  Probably not treatable.

Nort’s Commie Sources:   curtail trump spending money on vacations.

    Really, numbnutz?  The Crap Times???

Trump spent $13.6 million on just four trips to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. That’s $3.4 million per trip. To Florida for a few days. Not to Hawaii for three weeks.”  –Dave Zweifel, editor emeritus, The Capital Times

In 2016 the GAO estimated Obama spent $3.6 million on a 2013 three-day golf trip, including a couple-hours’ side trip to Chicago to blab a speech before landing in Palm Beach.

According to estimates from the Government Accountability Office, the nonpartisan agency that keeps track of federal spending, Obama ran up travel expenses of about $97 million during his eight years in office.”  Dave Zweifel, editor emeritus, The Capital Times

The GAO has never done an estimate of 8 years of Obama’s travel expenses.

The $97 million figure comes from …..

    wait for it….

…. the conservative group Judicial Watch.

(And actually, JW’s final estimate was $99,714,527.82.)

JW also estimates Trump spends around $1 million per Mar-a-Lago trip.

Why the big difference with the GAO?  Because unlike the GAO numbers for Trump,  JW does not include the costs of hardware – like airlifting the prez’s limo and secret service vehicles – around the country/world or the engagement of other security hardware such as the Coast Guard.

And what that means, is that JW’s $97 million figure, so pompously   mis-sourced by your editor emeritus,  for Obama’s 8 years would, based on GAO calculation methods, be shy by about $250 million.

Indeed, JW estimated Obama’s last Christmas vacation in Hawaii cost taxpayers $4.8 million,  or $17.2 million by a GOA reckoning (or $137.6 million for 8 of just the Obama family’s Hawaiian frolickings, not including Meeshell’s loner Aspen and European vacations).

  24. jjf

Dad29, you dream of ammo all the time, and speak of it!  Do you not?  Who are you going to shoot, and how?

  25. dad29

    Repeating yourself, Jiffy……….senility……sundowning………

    Maybe you’re actually Joe Biden??
