The only way President Trump will accept defeat in the 2020 election is if Democrats win by a big enough margin that he can’t dispute it, argues House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
“If we win by four seats, by a thousand votes each, he’s not going to respect the election,” said Pelosi in an interview with the New York Times.
“He would poison the public mind. He would challenge each of the races; he would say you can’t seat these people,” she added, and referenced the 40 House seats gained by Democrats in 2018 midterm elections. “We had to win. Imagine if we hadn’t won — oh, don’t even imagine. So, as we go forward, we have to have the same approach.”
This is coming from a person whose party has tried to deligitimize every significant Republican electoral win since GW beat Gore.
What makes her think they could possibly win this election? Sounds like a desperate attempt to get more votes. Maybe if they gave up on the Trump hate and started doing their jobs for a change, but that’ll never happen.

This rehashing of accusations that Trump won’t accept an election loss is a waste of time. It didn’t work last time around, so why peddle this line again? It’s especially loathsome when combined with HRC’s continued shilling about stolen elections. There is absolutely no upside for national Democrats in continued Clinton visibility. None.
Criticism of Trump has become so petty that future criticism is in real danger of becoming white noise. The Dem’s Henny Penny political strategy served its purpose, but it is beyond time to move on. Four solid years of “Trump sucks!” is not likely to put a Democrat still selling false misery in the WH.
