Heh.

President Donald Trump has endorsed a deal to reopen the US government for three weeks, after a record-breaking shutdown of federal agencies.

Congressional sources say the pact does not include any money that Mr Trump has demanded for a US-Mexico border wall.

The Republican president previously vowed to reject any such bill unless it included $5.7bn (£4.3bn) to fund his signature campaign pledge.

But Democrats, who control the House of Representatives, have flatly refused.

As predicted, though I didn’t quite see that it would be the air traffic controllers that broke the anti-Reagan.

Hopefully they’re done pissing on each other now and ready to get things done. When politicians go quiet, you know something’s up. If they remain relatively quiet for the next three weeks it’s likely that this deal will involve much more than border security funding. The less we hear between now and then the more comprehensive the deal is likely to be.

Trump has three weeks to get Mexico to pay for his wall.

A noisy afternoon RadioPundit notes that Trump is back in the catbird seat if Crazy Aunt Nancy balks this time.  He gave her some room and if she doesn’t deliver, the optics for HER are terrible.

And Steny Hoyer is licking his lips…..
