Tony Evers’ Old-School Pro-Abortion Stance

Wow.

TWS: One story I’m interested in is the role of pro-life Democrats: Do they have a place in the party? There’ve been fewer and fewer in Congress. What is your message to them? Do you want to see Medicaid funding of abortion generally? I know that’s restricted in Wisconsin.

EVERS: Yeah, we have a big tent here in Wisconsin. We have to in order to win elections. And yes pro-life Democrats are welcome in the party, and I respect their decisions on this issue. But we need to have the Medicaid money be available for all people and restricting it because of a certain procedure, whether it’s a tonsillectomy or any other procedure, seems to me a foolhardy thing to do. So, yes, we have to respect people’s people’s pro-life beliefs, and certainly they’re welcome in the Democratic party. Absolutely.

Two point… first, according to Evers, pro-life Democrats are welcome as long as they still support a radical pro-abortion agenda. Second, also according to Evers, killing an unborn child has the same moral equivalence as a tonsillectomy.

Again. Wow.

You have to give Evers credit for not hiding who he is. Keep him talking and disseminate his message far and wide so the voters can gauge the depth of his commitment to liberalism. It doesn’t look like he’s going to leave anybody guessing, so the choice between Evers and Walker should be a pretty clear one…  either way.

  2. dad29

And the Holocaust was like spraying for mosquitos.  He is the face of depravity.

  3. Kevin Scheunemann

Evers being the face of total depravity is correct.

Evers said that he wants their to be a big tent in the democratic party. I take that to mean that he isn’t going to take any action on the abortion issue.

I personally would not have an abortion, but it hardly seems fair to call everyone who is pro-choice a depraved monster. According to the Pew Research Center 57% of people support abortion vs 40% who do not.

Q1: Do you suppose that at least 57% of people are depraved monsters?
Q2: Suppose two candidates for  public office (republican/democratic/any combination you like) are running against each other. One candidate is pro-abortion and one is anti-abortion all their other positions are the same. How would the anti-abortion person have to changes his positions so that you would vote the other way?

    Maxwell,

Total depravity on this issue comes down to one issue.

Do you believe the pre-born baby is human life?

If yes, and you are OK ushering that life to extermination, you are depraved.

If it is not human life, then its just a question of ignorance.   Willful ignorance is a form of depravity.   Like the German civilians refusing to believe the death camps were on their doorstep.   It is a depavity, but not as bad as knowing it is life and wanting the extermination anyway.

Then there is ignorance in the form of stupidity.   That requires education from the depraved liberal mindset that devalues life making it easier to head to the gas chamber…I mean sharp instruments.

No matter what level we are on here, it is total depravity either in terms of murder, or dehumanizing to make the murder acceptable.

    k:

You are twisting up the meaning of words again; check the definition of ignorance vs stupidity.

I’m going to keep this quote for future use, “Willful ignorance is a form of depravity”.

  7. Jason

    >“Willful ignorance is a form of depravity”.

I’ll use it for you Leroy Duh North.  You’re willfully keeping us ignorant of  the actual quote from Trump’s speech you say you heard.  You therefore are depraved.

    Fitting, thanks Kevin.

  8. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

    I was quite eloquent.

There is willful ignorant depravity, denying the fact of life exists.

There is stupid ignorance, uneducated about the fact because of those with willful ignorant depravity misleading them about killing babies.

You claim I got it wrong, but fail to come close to explaining what I got wrong….a form of willful ignorant depravity on your part.

  9. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

When you use that quote. Try and use it in context.   I was using it about wholesale, racist, extermination that is called abortion.

  10. Le Roi du Nord

    k:

No, you were far from eloquent.

    From my Webster’s Collegiate (1969):

    Ignorance: lack of knowledge

    Stupidity: lack of intellect

I would never call you stupid, willfully ignorant most certainly.

  11. Paul

An antique piece of shit quoting an antique piece of shit.

  12. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

    Thanks for the dictionary definition.

Let me break it down for you since you need a dictionary:

Willful “lack of knowledge” depravity, where one denies pre-born babies are alive and life is the worst form of depravity, right behind those that acknowledge its life but usher that life to the death chambers anyway.

Then there is “lack of intellect” because of “lack of knowledge” depravity, those uneducated about the fact of a pre-born baby being human life, because of those with willful ignorant depravity misleading them about killing babies.

Did I break it down for you enough?   I know you are looking for a way to explain your depravity on this issue….I look foward to it.

  13. MaxwellsEQs

    Kevin, to summarize…

    1) Killing unborn babies is bad (depraved)

    2) Killing unborn babies is bad, but less bad if you believe they are not babies.

    3) You question whether people actually believe that people believe that babies are unborn babies, but rather they choose to believe they are unborn because it makes it easier for them to do what they would not do otherwise.

    Do I understand your position?

Do not engage/feed the trolls Kev.

  14. dad29

Killing unborn babies is murder.  That’s not bad–it’s depraved.

Equating murder of the unborn with tonsillectomy is depraved.

And your “survey quote” is meaningless.  When the Reich was gassing Jews, lots of Germans approved.

This ain’t entertainment TeeVeee “Survey Says.”  This is grave moral matter.

  15. MHMaley

The argument is lost with the phrase “pre born”.

We can settle this with a vote solely among women
who have to carry the “pre born “ to term at the behest
Of men under any circumstances in which they get pregnant .

Kevin and others don’t get to tell women what to do with their
bodies as they could in the “good old days “

  16. Paul

Too bad the above comment couldn’t be aborted. What flagrant abuse of grammar.

  17. dad29

There’s a REAL man, eh, Maley?  Just quit on your own kid, blame the dames.

  18. Kevin Scheunemann

Mark gladly supports racism on this issue under the guise of “choice”.

Nearly 40% of all abortions are African American, decimating urban Communities. (Despite the fact, only 11% of populace is African American).

It’s unfortunate Democrats are racist in this manner.

  19. dad29

Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, and abortionists.  And the abortionists win the human-killing contest, hands-down.
