Police Barred from Pride Parade

I guess there’s no pride in the police with these folks.

Local law enforcement groups will not be marching in next Sunday’s Pride Parade following pushback from members of Madison’s LGBT community who told the event’s organizer they felt unsafe with officers participating armed and in uniform.

OutReach LGBT Community Center board member Jill Nagler said members of the community, particularly people of color, have been voicing concerns about police involvement in the parade for more than a year. Those against official police involvement in the parade say police forces as a whole perpetuate homophobia and racism and make many in the community feel unsafe at Pride events.

This is a growing cultural trend on the Left where they are outright anti-police. For a movement that pride’s itself on inclusiveness, they are some of the most exclusive people in our society.

    Police represent order.

The Left prefers DIS-order.  Chaos is their goal.

  2. jjf

There’s plenty of people opposed to the decision, plenty who can point to a long history of Madison police who have been helpful and supportive to this cause.

But enough from me.  Come on, Owen and Dad29, tell us what your friends in the LGBT community are saying about this.

  3. Merlin

The Left’s rapidly intensifying embrace of natural selection might become a cause for concern before too much longer.

  4. jjf

“Most exclusive”?  Come now, Fox News viewers are nearly 100% white.

What does “embrace of natural selection” mean, Merlin?

  5. Paul

Fox News has nothing to do with the article, off-topic cuck.

I love it when evil leftist intersectionality eats its own.

    It is hilarious.

LGBT are biggest complainers about bullying, harrasment, and other issues….who primarily enforces that issue?   Police.   Yet LGBT folks don’t want them around because some Black Lives matter folks don’t want them around?

It is a hilarious exercise in the insanity of intersectional stupidity.

This is what happens when you judge purely by skin color and carnal choices.

    k:

“This is what happens when you judge purely by skin color and carnal choices.”

You have to explain your position here as you have been railing against folks with “carnal choices” different from your own forever.  Or have you changed your mind on the matter.

How much are you paid to use the word “intersectional/intersectionality” ?  You must get something cuz you use it ad nauseum.

  8. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

I rail against those that advertise they should be treated special beacause of their morally reprehensible carnal choices.

People are free to do whatever nonsense they want. I have a problem when carnal choices define who someone is to exclusion of all else. It is a sick, superficial way to live.

People should be judged by character. Do they embrace or reject good? Do they embrace or reject evil? Do they encourage a depth of conversation beyond physical lust choices? Etc.

  9. Le Roi du Nord

    k:

You have been judging others with opinions and tastes differing from yours for a long time, and for all sorts of reasons.  Your above statements are great examples. That is why I asked you to explain your position.  Since you didn’t or won’t it seems you are being hypocritical.

  10. dad29

K…………you mean “content of their character, not color of their skin”??

Egads, Kevin!!  You want Nordski to reject the words of MLK, you sneaky dude, you!!

  11. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

Of course we should be judging others.

The character of those who embrace evil and reject good should be treated a certain way vs those who embrace good and reject evil.

That is far superior to intersectional politics where good and evil is decided by skin color and carnal lust choices.

You have a problem with me not being racist and encouraging people not to define who they are by carnal lust choices?

Why is this controversial to you?

Unless you are racist and embrace carnal choices primary level of evil intersectionality in determining character.

  12. dad29

Kevin……technically, we can only judge the ACTIONS of others.  That includes their writings, of course, and generally includes their spoken words.

Consequently, if someone’s body of actions and writings/speech establish that the person is morally deficient or persistent in obtuse ignorance despite instruction, we are allowed to act accordingly.  This may include debate, or it may result in ‘shunning.’  On occasion, it can also justify smacking someone upside the head, purely in self-defense, of course.

  13. jjf

People should be judged by character. Do they embrace or reject good? Do they embrace or reject evil? Do they encourage a depth of conversation beyond physical lust choices? Etc.

So Kevin…  tell me about the deep conversations you’ve had with LGBT folks…  do any of them measure-up on your judgment scale?

  14. Le Roi du Nord

    k:

The problem with your argument is that you alone want to be the judge of what is good, and what is evil.  You have long lectured us on you being the ultimate arbiter of what is good, evil, and the “real” truth.

I saw a great quote that you perhaps could learn from, ” the devout can always benefit from listening to nonbelievers”.  Couldn’t do you any harm to try.

  15. Kevin Scheunemann

    Jjf,

Many of conversations I have is: Why are carnal choices the number one priority and identity in your life? Why do you need to tell others that carnal choice is number one issue in your life?

I urge others to have an identity as a redeemed child of Christ. To search for deeper spiritual meaning and identity in life beyond carnal lust.

  16. Kevin Scheunemann

    Oh Nord,

You are trying to tell me that you alone do not detest and “judge” Christianity as something bad?

Try not to be a hypocrite to your own standard.

  17. Le Roi du Nord

    k:

No I don’t detest and judge christianity.  As I have said numerous times, believe whatever you want, just don’t try to force it on others, or claim to be the only real “truth.

And on a different thread you are saying carnal choices are OK for you dear leader.  You epitomize hypocrisy.

  18. Kevin Scheunemann

I never said Trump’s immorality was a good thing. He does not waive it about with pride like gay lobby.

That is the difference. If you want to make crazy, immmoral, carnal choices, just do it without rubbing it in people’s face (pride).

You can’t get on Trump’s carnal immorality when Liberals wave immorality around constantly with Pride.

  19. Le Roi du Nord

    k:

So hypocrisy is your defense.  Atta boy.  At least you are consistent.  Why not add one of your other favorites, “the other guys do it too,” defense?

  20. dad29

True to form, Nordski abhors “truth.”  Surprise!!

  21. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

    Not hypocrisy.

Difference between judging actions and the heart.

“Gay Pride” is an ongoing signal that one intends on making their identity all about their carnal choices and wave it about (action).

If Trump still is a serial adulterer, he does not wave it around with pride. If he does, source please.

Secret sin cannot be judged unless the action comes to light. Do you have a source that Trump is a Kennedy or a Clinton while in White House?

    Sources please.

  22. Le Roi du Nord

Defending “secret sin”.  Good for you.

trump IS a serial adulterer.  He said, “grab ’em by the %$#@&”.  He called a black female a “dog”.  You can defend that all you want, that is your right as an American.   I’ll take the high road.

  23. jjf

“Gay Pride” is an ongoing signal that one intends on making their identity all about their carnal choices and wave it about (action).

You mean like any other ethnic festival in Milwaukee?

I dunno, I think you need to get out more.  The gays aren’t any different from you and me when it comes to living life.  You’re just worked up about their parades.  Also, “wave it about”?  I think you forget “stuff down our throats.”

  24. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

Still have not seen any sourced evidence that Trump acted like Clinton and Kennedy.

    Jjf,

Ethnic tradition is far different than bragging about carnal lust.

  25. Paul

The two things I want to read about Le Roi du Nord:

    His indictment
    His obituary

  26. Le Roi du Nord

    little p:

Well, you will be waiting a while.  Bet you will be seeing trumps indictment way before mine.

  27. Paul

Your obsession with little p is why you’re an RSO. Stay away from the parks, Dennis Rader.
