City Employees Afraid to Voice Concerns

It appears that the culture in the City of Madison is one of racism and fear.

“A significant percentage of employees from all racial and ethnic backgrounds are afraid to report incidents of harassment or discrimination,” the report states. “Many employees are even reluctant to share their opinion about work-related matters at work.”

When asked if they were treated differently by co-workers based on their race, 60 percent of African-Americans and 29 percent of Latinos respondents agreed that they were, compared to 6 percent of whites.

White respondents were more likely to say that relationships between employees of different racial backgrounds in their departments were positive, than were black and Latino employees.

This culture of fear is what led to downfall of socialist darling Eastern Bloc and USSR.

Many former government party workers said the culture was not collaborative, but more capitulation and fear for being punished for criticizing leaders, no matter how stupid the leaders and their ideas were. (North Korea another prime example.)

Not surprised the Midwest branch of the Kremlin, City of Madison, operates the same way as other failed socialist states.
