Walker Calls Special Election

This will be quick.

Gov. Scott Walker has called a July 21 special election to fill the Senate seat of Republican Paul Farrow, who plans to resign July 17.

Farrow, R-Pewaukee, is resigning to focus full-time on being Waukesha County exec.
Under Walker’s special election call, nomination papers can be circulated starting today with a deadline to file May 26.

While the general election will be July 21, all eyes will be on the June 23 primary for the heavily GOP seat in Waukesha County. Rep. Chris Kapenga, R-Delafield and Brian Dorow, an associate dean at Waukesha County Technical College, have both announced plans to run as Republicans.

    Kapenga all the way!

My State Representative will make an excellent State Senator. I expect this will be an interesting “race” over the summer, but I anticipate Kapenga will come out on top
