I’ll admit it. I’m surprised. While it was obviously a slam-dunk case, I did not think that a Delaware jury would convict him. I don’t expect that he will see a day in jail, but the verdict surprises me. I doubt that the verdict moves a single vote for the presidential election, but it’s something.
Here’s where things currently stand:

Hunter Biden has been found guilty of lying about his drug use when buying a gun. After three hours of deliberation, the jury found him guilty on all three counts.

Hunter faces a maximum of 25 years in prison for all three counts. An exact date has not been scheduled. The judge has said sentencing dates usually take place within a 120-day period.

Hunter showed little emotion as the guilty verdicts were read out, staring ahead with his arms folded before turning around to hug some of the associates on his legal team.
I am not surprised at all. It would have been golden ammunition for Reps to show how corrupt the courts are when it comes to politics if Trump had been found guilty on nothing and Hunter not being found guilty for a slam dunk case. This way the Dems can hold on to the pretense that the courts are not stacked with liberals that are willing to play lefty politics among their own followers. You can bet that if JV comments on this he will be saying ‘See, the courts are still fair’ equating the two cases even though there is no comparison. Joey can pardon Hunter and everything can now be forgotten because he was found guilty.
If he had been found not guilty, the issue would still be alive and a possible consideration to not vote Biden or Dem at all. This way, every Dem wins and if/when Hunter comes up for the tax evasion which is even more serious, it will not be news whether he is convicted or not.
The gun charges in Delaware and the tax charges in California are all federal, so Daddy holds the ultimate get out of jail free card for First Son Hunter. He can wipe away the current Delaware convictions and forestall the California tax evasion trial altogether with a pen. I’d be surprised if the ink hasn’t already dried on the documents. They’ll deny the possibility right up until the time they announce that it’s happened, but no way in hell does old China Joe let his kid do any prison time for anything.
As always, don’t listen to what they say… watch what they do.
