Debate Fireworks

Now I know how the Democrats felt while watching the Republican debates in 2016.

“I’d like to talk about who we’re running against. A billionaire who calls women ‘fat broads’ and ‘horse-faced lesbians.’ And, no, I’m not talking about Donald Trump. I’m talking about Mayor Bloomberg,” Warren said, referring to quotes attributed to Bloomberg that were circulated in a “Wit and Wisdom” booklet handed out at his company. It’s not clear that Bloomberg ever made those comments, according to a CNN fact check.
When pressed by moderators to explain the comments attributed to him in the booklet and several lawsuits, which were detailed in a Washington Post article earlier this week, Bloomberg said he didn’t have any tolerance for the kind of behavior that the #MeToo movement exposed. He then attempted to pivot by touting the number of women he has elevated to senior roles, noting his company was voted one of the best places to work.
“I hope you heard his defense: ‘I’ve been nice to some women,’ ” Warren retorted as Bloomberg rolled his eyes. “That just doesn’t cut it. … We need to know what’s lurking out there.”
In a lengthy exchange that was clearly uncomfortable for the former New York mayor, Warren repeatedly pressed Bloomberg to say how many nondisclosure agreements he had asked women to sign for sexual harassment or gender discrimination suits (he eventually said “very few”).
“None of them accuse me of doing anything other than — maybe they didn’t like a joke I told,” Bloomberg replied, as some in the crowd audibly gasped or groaned. He added that the women had signed the agreements because they wanted to keep the matter “quiet.”
“They signed those agreements and we’ll live with it,” Bloomberg said. (“Come on,” an exasperated Biden said in the background).
“I just want to be clear. Some is how many?” Warren continued, pressing him as the moderators let the exchange play out.
“And when you say they signed (the agreements) and they wanted them, if they wish now to speak out and tell their side of the story about what it is they alleged, that’s now OK with you? You’re releasing them on television tonight?” she asked.
“I’m simply not going to end these agreements because they were made consensually and they have every right to expect they will stay private,” Bloomberg said.

Those Bloomberg answers will not cut it with that woke crowd!

1.) You must be pure to the godless woke faith.

2.) If you have transgressed the godless woke faith in the past, there is no forgiveness.

3.) The only way to earn forgiveness, like claiming to be a Cherokee when you are not, is to become vile, shrill, and push the disgusting woke liberal ideology to new heights of sliminess! Even then, many in woke movement will not forgive you for being a fake Pocahontas.

4.) Never get on a radical, dripping, venemous, liberal debate stage as a white male billionaire that fails to drip sufficient wokeness….he might as well have been an unintereting Donald Trump on that stage.

5.) If these hack communist amateurs are going to eat you up in a debate, Trump will crush you like a bug in first 30 seconds Mini Mike.

  2. Merlin

Thanks to Bloomberg’s presence the rest of the sociopaths weren’t required to speak on anything of real substance. Generally a successful night for Democrats.

  3. Mar

The difference between the GOP and Democrats is that the GOP had mostly legitimate candidates while the Democrats have escapeses from the circus clown car.
Not one of the Democrats are capable to hold the toilet paper that President Trump uses after he poops.
The Democrats have candidates who are washed up, are wannabes, communist sympathizers, a racist, a Trump wannabe and an unknown from a wacky state.

  4. MjM

I tuned in only to see if Mini Mike would be standing on a box (dissappointed, only Klochubarbie was).

But it did become obvious that he lies about his height, which he has claimed at various times to be anywhere between 5’7″ and 5’10”.

Warren is 5’8″.  Take a look at debate pictures and, because they are next to each other,  you can see how much taller Warren is.  Difference in shoes, perhaps, but I doubt Warren is wearing Milania spikes.

Not that it matters.  It’s just a humorous side bar.  Yet instead of being self-conscious and defensive a good pol would embrace and turn it into something to cheer about.  Mini Mike should follow Danny Divto’s approach (and I don’t mean the Grumpy Old Bern endorsing thing).  But with him being an utterly humorless NY snob goblin it likely won’t happen (given his performance, present and past, it may not need to happen).

Those of you who sat through the whole match, God love ya.   Warren’s voice grates like 50-grit sandpaper on yer bare bottom, Grumpy Old Bern is a drooling, scolding, communist hunchback, Biden is the second dumbest man on the planet (Jiffy is first),  and South Bent Buttgeek’s pseudo-religionist vanity drips off him like blood from Gosnell’s hands.

    Can.  Not.  Do.

If mjm’s objective critique of a candidates  appearance is critical for presidency how did we ever get the one we have?  Name calling and mockery seem to be the key here.

  6. Merlin

As long as the Democrats are feeling so scrappy they ought to consider a 3 falls cage match for all those still in the game. You lose, you stfu and go home leaving all of your money for the winner. Start with Mayor Pete vs Tulsi Gabbard. I’d put a little money on the sane surfer girlie to take it all.

  7. Jason

    >If mjm’s objective critique of a candidates  appearance is critical for presidency how did we ever get the one we have?

Do you really lack understanding of the candidate selection process, and lack understanding of how Donald Trump became your president?  It’s a serious question, as none of the stupid that you type surprises me anymore.

  8. MjM

Nort suveys: “…how did we ever get the one we have?”

    Pretty simple, numbnutz:  duly elected.

Just because Grumpy Old Bern is a scolding drooling communist hunchback doesn’t mean he can’t get elected.  In fact, if you haven’t noticed, he already has.

As far as name calling/mockery, heck, I’m just following you….

You are just another angry and impotent bully stomping his foot and throwing a tantrum.” – Nort    February 18, 2020 at 11:07 am

You got issues I can’t help you with.  Get to the closest urgent care facility soon.”  -Nort  February 12, 2020 at 7:01 pm

Right kiddies. … You are just two-bit wackadoodles.”  – Nort  February 8, 2020 at 9:03 pm

I could go on, butchoo get the point.

  9. Kevin Scheunemann

    That was a total burn.

I might need to use the fire extinguisher on that one!

    Nice!

  10. Le Roi du Nord

Hmmm, nowhere did I mock someone’s appearance. Behavior yes, but not appearance.

  11. MjM

    Nort slithers: “Hmmm…”

IOW, hypocrisy sorted and columnized, Slick work, but getting all ledger booky doesn’t in any way void your guilt. Own it, numbnutz.

  12. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

You had blasted “name calling and mockery” in your first response above.

Mjm called you out on it. No where did you make a behavior distinction.

Awful. Just awful on your double standard for others.

    Your behavior is appalling.

  13. jjf

    Awful. Just Awful.

It’s pretty simple, kids:  If you think name-calling is Awful, then don’t do it.

If you don’t start behaving right this instant, I’m turning this car around.

  14. Le Roi du Nord

    k:

Here is the entire quote, in context:

“If mjm’s objective critique of a candidates  appearance is critical for presidency how did we ever get the one we have?  Name calling and mockery seem to be the key here.”

    Fixed it for you.

  15. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

No where did you make an exception for “behavior” in all that, which you used to justify your own “name calling and mockery” of others.

    Still awful. Just awful.

  16. Le Roi du Nord

    k:

Are you unfamiliar with the word “appearance” ?  Use an on-line English dictionary.  It isn’t difficult.

  17. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

    So in your world:

1.) Name calling and mockery for appearance is bad?

2.) Name calling and mockery for behavior…just dandy?

I anxiously await confirmation of your conviction on this.

  18. Le Roi du Nord

    Yes.

Behavior is a choice. No one forces you to mock a handicapped person, a Gold Star family, a Purple Heart recipient, a POW, or someone’s height/weight/ethnicity.  Some folks make good choices, some make bad ones.

  19. jjf

No one forces anyone to praise people who do that, Le Roi.

That is, no one forces you to praise at least for now, right?

  20. Le Roi du Nord

Exactly.  That is why I am so concerned about the future.

  21. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

    Is that a confirmation?

I saw deflection, but no confirmation.

If we are going to agree on this, we have to be clear that you agree with the 2 points.

  22. MjM

    Nort proclaims his hypocrisy: “Yes.”

The first step in recovery is admittance.   Now you need to work on that selective righteousness thing.

Nort claims: ” No one forces you to mock a handicapped person”

So, why do you suppose Obama did that?

  23. Mar

Fortunately, President Trump makes far more better choices than bad ones.
Notice how Le Roi cherry picks some supposed bad choices and yet says nothing about all the good Trump has done and said.
It really does say something about the hatred Le Roi harbors towards people.

  24. jjf

MjM, why do you suppose you overlook it in Trump?

  25. Le Roi du Nord

    k:

    Asked and answered.

  26. MjM

#1 DMOTP Jiffy concocts: “…you overlook it in Trump?”

I do?!?  When? Where?  Back up your (false) accusation with citation.

  27. jjf

Why would you bring up Obama?  You think his Special Olympics comment is the same as what Trump did?

  28. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

I just asked for confirmation fromyou that it is acceptable to “Name call and mock” behavior?

Easy question. Why are you so weasel-like on it?

  29. MjM

#1 DMOTP Jiffy channels Shirley Temple :  “…bring up Obama?”

No compende,  chupete?  Just pounding one of the bazillion nails in Nort’s coffin of lying hypocrisy.

#1 DMOTP Jiffy believes the lies: “….the same as what Trump did?”

    Oh, hell yes.  Lets see…

Obama mocked an entire segment of the population just because of his own failure and pitiful inadequacy in a game.

Trump mocked a reporter.  And contrary to what you’ve been told and believe,  and Nort’s insatiably regurgitation of the lie,  he didn’t mock the reporter’s disability.  Trump slammed the reporter  – the same way he’s slammed Ted Cruz,  generals, Donna Brazile, and himself – for changing his story years afterwards only because Trump quoted the original report.

Now, are you gonna back up your (false) accusation with citation or (mostly likely) continue playing Shirley Temple?  If the latter, GFY.

  30. Mar

“You think his Special Olympics comment is the same as what Trump did?”
Coming from a Special Education teacher, it was much worse.

  31. jjf

So when Trump was waving his hands around when he said that, he wasn’t mocking the reporter’s particular physicality?

Between Obama and Trump, who do you think has more empathy for others?

  32. Mar

Definitely President Trump. There is no doubt about that.
When 9-11 happened, he would go down there and help any way he could. He provided airplanes for those in need and he donates his presidential salary to various causes.
When Chicago was in the worst days when hundreds were being murdered, Ovama sat on his ass and did nothing. Wouldn’t even go and talk to those on the Southside of Chicago. But he would go to the north side and along the lake and find raise.

  33. dad29

MjM, what you now see in LeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeRoy’s commentary is the result of utter despair over the field of Commies, harridans, and homohypocrites, recently joined by an amoral materialist with all the political smarts of your average mastodon.

Have a little sympathy for po’ LeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeRoy.  Either he moves to someplace else, or has to endure another four years of American Greatness.

    Heh.

  34. dad29

On the other hand, there’s Tokin’Tony–the PICTURE of today’s Democrat Party masculinity, work-ethic, fiscal responsibility, patriotism, and even-handed governance for the Greater Good.

So LeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeRoy has someone to cheer for!

  35. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

Still waiting for you to confirm acceptance of your morality of name calling on behavior as acceptable? I just wanted to confirm you were not mistaken on your moral stand on this.

Can’t you even take a moral stand to confirm something you clearly said above?

  36. Le Roi du Nord

Rephrase that k, it makes no sense as is.

Or are you trying to excuse and defend trump for mocking someone because of appearance or physical condition?  I’m curious how your alleged morality standards can defend his continued actions in this regard.

    Thanks

  37. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

I just wanted to refer to all the times you complained we labeled your behavior as “liberal” of “leftist” and had a total fit in relation to our judgment of your behavior.

  38. Le Roi du Nord

    “liberal” of “leftist”

What are you trying to say here, k?

And I don’t have “a total fit”.  Ever.  I’m a very even tempered guy.  I’ll leave the fits and tantrums to you and trump.  They happen regularly, so keep in the loop.

  39. Kevin Scheunemann

    liberal OR leftist

  40. Le Roi du Nord

And it still makes no sense to a rational being.   Keep trying.
