Vote for Justice Dan Kelly

It’s election day in Wisconsin! In my city, the only thing on the ballot if the primary for Wisconsin Supreme Court. It’s important that you get out and vote for Dan Kelly. It’s so important that I even put on pants, emerged from the basement, and squinted at the giant ball in the bright in the sky to go meet the guy.

The guy on the left should have a 10-gallon hat on.

  2. jjf

Right, Dad29.  The hat would go well with those sneakers.

  3. Kevin Scheunemann

    Done.

    #188 at 11:39 am

  4. Le Roi du Nord

Put in my vote for Ed.  #52 at 8:29AM.

  5. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

Not surprised that you have wrong answer.
Owen gave you the answer sheet before your test.

  6. Le Roi du Nord

    k:

Last time I looked there was no “test” for a person to vote in the US or WI.  I’m sure you would like some test of ideological purity for voters, but that would be unconstitutional.  But that doesn’t bother you authoritarians a bit.

  7. dad29

LeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeRoy’s storied sense of humor comes to the fore.

  8. Kevin Scheunemann

    Settle down.

I was only tweaking you over your vote.

Why does the second commandment of liberalism prohibit humor?

  9. Le Roi du Nord

It doesn’t . The 2nd requires that we oppose those who lie to defend their intolerance and ignorance. Get with the program.

  10. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

Why do you violate that one against Christians all the time? Or is that liberal commandment optional/fake news?

  11. jjf

Liberalism prohibits humor?  Until the right wants to complain that Hollywood and the media and all those political humor shows are all too liberal.

  12. Kevin Scheunemann

    Jjf,

What liberal show has humor these days?

Nearly all of them are cringey “woke” lectures. Even liberal Jay Leno criticizes them.

  13. Le Roi du Nord

    k:

So you want christians to get a free pass on their intolerance and ignorance?  Why?  Are you claiming that those traits are a gift from their god, or that they are incapable of acquiring knowledge, compassion, understanding, or humility?

  14. jjf

Kevin, you want me to tell you what’s funny to you, while you ignore or dismiss what’s apparently funny for other people?

  15. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

Christians do not have “intolerance” or “ignorance”.   They may “speak truth in love in the Gospel”.   You tend to confuse those things in your open unbelief.

No one is getting a “free pass” except liberals who constantly attack Christians.

  16. Le Roi du Nord

Really? You are a walking talking billboard for ignorance and intolerance. Aren’t you the ultimate christian ?

  17. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

Never claimed to be “ultimate Christian”, but always willing to have an honest conversation over an accurate, in context quote on anything I have said

When I ask you for an example of alleged “intolerance”, you come up with nothing, never apologize and continue in your smear.

I am a nice guy with a ton of patience, example?

  18. Le Roi du Nord

Here is an example from today.

“It would be a crime to let this lefty Dane county judge onto Supreme Court”

  19. Le Roi du Nord

And some more from a few days ago:

“This idiocy of liberalism eroding objectivity”

    “Awful. Just awful. Dysfunctional evil”

  20. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

    That is “intolerance”?

So if a parent is letting their 4 year old play in traffic and I I indicate they are a bad parent if they don’t get kid out of traffic…I suppose that is “intolerant” as well?

Opposing poor, bad, evil choices is not “intolerance”.

  21. Mar

jjf, Kevin is right. Name one liberal TV show that is actually funny to all or most audiences.

  22. jjf

Mar, you and Kevin are answering your own question.  If you think something is unfunny, you declare it to be liberal.  If a show makes fun of a conservative, it’s not for humor or insight – it’s because they’re liberal.

  23. Kevin Scheunemann

    Jjf,

No, its because liberals have attacked humor as “insensitive” to woke ideology.

You could just see the libs cringe when Eddie Murphy host SNL 2 months back. He was from a generation that still had humor. The PC SNL cast were horribly uncomfortable with him especially in the Gumby routine.

That because woke ideology sucks the joy out of everything in favor of victimhood mentality.

    Awful. Just awful.

  24. jjf

Exactly, Kevin.  Once blackface was funny and accepted, now it’s not.  What changed?  Why shouldn’t you do blackface routines?  Are they still funny?

  25. Kevin Scheunemann

    Jjf,

Eddie Murphy is guilty of “blackface”? How crazy woke are you?

    Blackface was never funny.

  26. jjf

Wasn’t trying to connect Murphy and blackface in this case.

You still saw even the biggest Hollywood stars doing blackface into the 1940s and some still lingered into 1950s movies.  What makes you think it wasn’t considered entertaining?  What changed?

  27. Kevin Scheunemann

    Jjf,

Hollywood has always been run by racist Democrats. Hollywood has always been an awful cultural sewer.

    What is your point here?

The fact you finally realize Hollywood is a godless cultural sewer?

    Congratulations….welcome to reality.

  28. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

So opposing bad, awful, or evil choices is “intolerance” for you? If mere disagreement equals intolerance, you have rendered civil society moot.

Would you like to try again on your swing and miss from your scurrilous allegation I am “intolerant”? Or an apology for your unproven allegation would be nice.

  29. jjf

Hollywood runs on the dollar.  Anything they think won’t be lapped up by the masses, regardless of how they vote, doesn’t make it to screen.

So it’s your belief that blackface wasn’t ever considered entertaining?

We got off on this tangent because you complained that liberals don’t allow you to be funny.  So tell me what you want to say that’s funny, that the liberals won’t allow you to say.

And what does this have to do with the Supreme Court race?  Don’t get Jason upset for going off topic, he hates that.

  30. Kevin Scheunemann

    Jjf,

You were one droning about blackface.

Don’t bitch about tangents from topic when the tangent was your fault.

    That is hilarious irony though.

Don’t give up your day job.

  31. jjf

So tell me what you want to say that’s funny, that the liberals won’t allow you to say.

  32. Mar

jjf, blackface may have been entertaining in the 1920s but certainly not since the 1960s.

  33. jjf

    Mar, so what changed?

  34. Mar

    Civil rights movement

  35. Le Roi du Nord

And yet another example of intolerance.

    “The unmotivated should not vote”

  36. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

So if one is too lazy to go to polls, that person should still vote?

    That is intolerance? Really?

So if I say one should poop in the potty and they are “unmotivated” to get up and not poop in their pants…that is “intolerance” to tell them to use the toilet?

So let me ask you this: can society have a minimum standard for anything, without being “intolerant” in your twisted worldview?

  37. Le Roi du Nord

Folks vote absentee all the time.  Some states encourage it. Get with the times.

  38. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

Where do I discourage anyone from voting absentee?

    Stop bearing false witness.

  39. jjf

Kevin, I have a view that’s in opposition to yours.

I think everyone should vote!  Not compulsory, just encouraged.  Make it easy!  If they’re apathetic, find a way to encourage them.

One easy idea?  Move our regular voting days and tradition to some day that’s already a holiday.

Another easy idea?  Instead of cultivating databases to find people to drop from the rolls, why not automatically register them?

  40. Le Roi du Nord

    “The unmotivated should not vote”

“So if one is too lazy to go to polls, that person should still vote?”

There, I refreshed your memory for you.

  41. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

No where did I discourage absentee voting.

    False witness on your part.

If one is voting absentee, they are both motivated and at the absentee “poll”.

  42. Kevin Scheunemann

    Jjf,

I think everyone should vote as well. However, if they don’t care, don’t want to care, are horribly uninformed, it is just fine for them to stay home.

I vote for those people when they stay home, and I make the right choices for them.

  43. Le Roi du Nord

“So if one is too lazy to go to polls, that person should still vote?

You questioned (see above) if they should be able to vote.

Are you saying that you vote more than once (“I vote for those people when they stay home”)?  Or are your language skills failing you again?   Who would have known, election fraud in a WOW county.  Awful, just awful.

  44. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

Total perversion of what I actually said.

Did you put your head in a woodchipper this AM?

  45. Jason

    >Are you saying that you vote more than once

No he’s not saying that dumb-dumb.  Are you Autistic?  Have you been tested?

  46. Le Roi du Nord

That is a quote, kiddies.  Words still have meaning.  If you are unsure of their meaning, use a dictionary.

  47. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

Peoblem is: you start with a warped worldview.

    It destroys simple civility.

  48. Le Roi du Nord

That may be your opinion.  You are free to have it.

And your quote is still your quote.  Or are you going to claim you didn’t make that statement.

  49. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

My quote does not say anything near to what your obtuse worldview perversion has twisted meaning into a complete fiction.

I was only asking for honesty, but I know that becomes a challenge with you from time to time.

    I guess civility is dead.

  50. Jason

    >That is a quote, kiddies.  Words still have meaning.  If you are unsure of their meaning, use a dictionary.

So that confirms it.  Now just to find where on the spectrum.  My money is on aspergers.    It would explain the social interaction difficulties, the almost OCD like drive to stand up for “intolerance”, “alternative facts” and other non-issues.  Although with the behaviors exhibited here in the past, he might not be as high functioning as many aspergers sufferers are…  a tough one to do with only an online persona, for sure.

  51. dad29

might not be as high functioning as many aspergers sufferers are

    He was a State employee………

  52. jjf

Meanwhile, in another thread, they’re debating whether it’s OK to compare one’s self to the participants of the Special Olympics…

  53. Jason

JJFlaccid, I’ll remember that if I ever run for public office. Besides I’m not mocking anyone, just attempting a diagnosis.   I too support Autism.
