Tax Riots in France

Meanwhile, in pre-Brexit Europe:

Protesters from France’s “gilet jaunes” (yellow vests) movement have pulled out of a meeting with PM Edouard Philippe scheduled for Tuesday.

Some members of the group said they had received death threats from hardline protesters warning them not to enter into negotiations with the government.

The “yellow vests” have been protesting about a controversial fuel tax since mid-November.

But the protests now reflect more widespread anger at the government.

Three people have died since the unrest began and the resulting violence and vandalism – notably when statues were smashed at the Arc de Triomphe last Saturday – have been widely condemned.

It seems the global warming religion hurts the poor.

    Awful, just awful.

This religion should be banned everywhere.

Good thing Macron has now taken a Trump position and backed out of implementing this disgusting liberal tax.

  2. jjf

You flip-flop so well, Kevin.  Sometimes you worry about the consequences of laws on the poor, sometimes you don’t!

In this case, why isn’t it a moral failing of the poor to not have worked hard enough to make enough money to deal with the consequences of their actions?

  3. dad29

Kevin, it was reported yesterday that the yellow-jacketed bunch was yelling “We want Trump!!!”.

    Heh.

  4. Le Roi du Nord

    Looks like once again k didn’t read all of the article;

“The movement later grew to reflect a range of grievances, including the marginalisation of rural areas, high living costs, and general anger at President Macron’s economic policies”.

  5. Kevin Scheunemann

    Oh Nord,

Anger over liberalism, which the awful global warming tax was the issue that put the boiling anger over the edge.

You just keep preaching authoritarian warming religion, which offers no hope to the tax slaves.

    Jjf,

I’ll bite.  How does opposing awful taxes on poor call me out on other issues?   I am sympathetic to to the slaves of plantation liberalism like France.   Always been sympathetic.

    I’m a compassionte guy.

  6. Le Roi du Nord

Oh, k, you are soooo wrong.  But why am I not surprised?   You still didn’t read the entire article, did you?

  7. Kevin Scheunemann

    Oh Nord,

I’ve read many articles on the subject.   I find the BBC article you reference very slanted with liberal bias.

Why am I not surprised you cannot look beyond the liberal bias of BBC?

    I am way more diverse.

  8. Le Roi du Nord

    k:

Well, I find you and the daily corrupted by bias and ignorance.  Touche.

  9. Kevin Scheunemann

Conservative outlets are usually values driven.

Liberalism corrupts nearly everything from gender, to marriage, to anything goes carnal choices, to simple moral values, to abusing government power….so you should be careful how you throw the word corrupt around.

Liberalism is a corruption. Conservatives spend time trying to fix the habitual corruption of liberalism. The liberal media leads the charge against simple social values that bind us together…like telling us economic destroying taxes that lead to $7 gas in France are not real reason protestors are burning the country. That is BS to spoon feed you more liberal corruption and bend over for more global warming religion

    Glad we cleared that up.

  10. jjf

Kevin, you spend a lot of time thinking about the three-to-five-percent of the population who are doing things you find so nasty.

The rest of the liberals think it’s wrong to kick puppies and are doing it in the dark in the missionary position, just like you.

As for abusing government power, you mean like lame-duck bills to grab power into one party, right?

  11. Le Roi du Nord

Once again the great and omnipotent k proves to us all that anyone he disagrees with is evil, and only k is smart, moral and good.  You are the poster child for narcissism and intolerance.

  12. Kevin Scheunemann

    jjf,

3-5%?   The liberal lexicon bellies up to the perversion by embracing it vs. denouncing the rampant perversion and assault on absolute truth.   The liberal lexicon champions men in women’s restrooms, genital mutilation in children and destruction of God’s design for marriage.   The baby killing advocacy of Planned Parenthood enjoys wide spread support in the liberal serial killer pathology.   Liberalsism has no truth, no claim to make any moral judgements as long as it is tossing all basic morality out the window.

So it is impossible to take any liberal pontification about the morality of this legislative session without having uncontrollable laughter of a liberal trying to make a moral argument.

  13. MHMaley

The greatest source of corruption in the history of man is the worship of their 10,000 self invented Gods to justify in thier indefensible actions based upon their intimate knowledge of what their
    God thinks .

  14. Kevin Scheunemann

    Mark,

So what does your god of magical Big Bang theory have to say these days?

    Abortion still a sacrament?

  15. jjf

I thought we were talking about circumcision.  When you think about the gays, are they circumcised or not?

  16. Le Roi du Nord

    k:

Sorry, but there is no chief priest nor religion involved.  Why do you have to lie to try and prove your argument.  Why not let facts speak for you?  Oh, that’s right, you are fact averse.

  17. Kevin Scheunemann

    Oh nord,

Why are you always dishonst about your faith,  false religion, and the destruction it causes?

    Be honest for a change.

  18. Le Roi du Nord

    k:

I had faith in the righteousness of humanity until I started reading your posts.  That lead me to believe that there are evil people wandering the earth shrouded in false patriotism and religion.  That’s why I practice my patriotism in private, and don’t put much, if any, credence in self-proclaiming religious fanatics.  But I will defend to the death your right to be as hypocritical as you deem necessary.

I have never been dishonst (sic) about any beliefs, yours or mine.

  19. Jason

    >I had faith in the righteousness of humanity until I started reading your posts

Oh my god, you’re not fooling anyone who reads this blog with your sanctimonious bullshit.  You’ve been called out almost weekly on your tripe.   Move along troll.

  20. MjM

Nort declares his religion: “I had faith in the righteousness of humanity…”

And what brought you to this worship of humanity?

Was it the slave-built societies of the Romans or Egyptians or Persians? Was it the conquering massacres of Genghis Kahn? Perhaps the Aztec’s capture and sacrifice of, well, any one? Raiding hordes of Vikings? Lenin’s gulags? Germany’s gas chambers? Castro’s prisons? The slaughters by Pol Pot’s Khmer Rouge?

    Imelda Marcos’ shoe collection?

  21. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

So on one hand you admit your religion, “faith in righteousness of humanity”, but then deny it by indicating you lost the faith.

Then indicate you have never been “dishonest” about your beliefs…

That is the most hilarious doublespeak I have ever read! Is Jay Leno doing your comedy writing?

  22. Le Roi du Nord

    k:

Nowhere did I use or imply the word or concept of religion.  Why must you resort to such deceit to further your argument? Pathology? Mental illness? Flimsy intellect? Sloth and laziness?

  23. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

Why are you mad at me because you cannot openly talk about, and admit, your faith?

Be honest. That is all we ask.

  24. Le Roi du Nord

    k:

I’d never mad at you, amused at your folly, but never mad.  Being mad at you would bring me down to your level.  Wouldn’t be prudent.

  25. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

So I see you want to keep up the dishonesty.

You accused me of being the cause of you losing “faith in humanity”…but yet you are not mad?

You are sending crossed, crazy signals again.

  26. dad29

The greatest source of corruption in the history of man is the worship of their 10,000 self invented Gods to justify in thier indefensible actions based upon their intimate knowledge of what their God thinks .

Egads!!  Maley has written the very definition of left/liberalism!

Kevin, I think you’ve converted this poor guy.  Congrats.

  27. dad29

And let’s have a couple more FACTS about the Yellow Vests:  https://moonbattery.com/gilets-jaunes-and-marrakech/

Perhaps Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeroy will read it…but I’ll help him right here.  The protest is ALSO about the recent Frog decision to import a whole lotta new “refugees” from Marrakesh, to complement the whole lotta “refugees” from the Middle East.

This doesn’t sit well with Normie Frenchmen who have to pay the taxes to support the “refugees” which–like in the USA–are 70% on welfare.  They also don’t like paying to rebuild churches and pay for cars torched by the poor, poor, “refugees,” nor–for that matter–are they pleased with the sex crimes, robberies, and murders committed by the “refugees.”

(That also ‘splains their protest this weekend at the EU HQ in Brussels, of course.)

  28. Le Roi du Nord

    dud:

Thanks for proving my point, that the protests weren’t solely about the environment and global warming.  Your comment is sure to get k in a snit, but so it goes…

  29. dad29

Oh, I think K will be fine with the knowledge that the protests are against the lefty-Statists–like Obama, ya’know.

  30. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

Of course it was about all the oppressive lefty things that have been done to France.  The global warming religion fuel tax was the tipping point to ignite the revolution.

Liberals are just raping their citizens with their idiotic policies.

You think you could work up just a little disgust toward the liberal lexicon and the carnage it produces.

  31. Le Roi du Nord

    k:

You are always concerned about how climate change affects the poor, so explain how the poor folks living in low lying coastal areas are going to deal with a rise in sea level?  Or how the loss of a valuable timber resource in northern WI will affect loggers?

And see if you can answer without bring up religion, because that really doesn’t have any relevance to the discussion.

    https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/2018/12/10/curious-what-climate-like-3-million-years-ago-we-may-find-out/2267459002/

  32. jjf

Well, Le Roi, all we have to do is wave our hands and say nothing can be done except assume that private charities will have to step up to help those displaced poor as they attempt to migrate to other areas!  I look forward to seeing Kevin’s specifics about what those private charities will be able to do!

  33. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

How does raising the fuel tax to an insane amount help the poor move inland?  (assuming they need to move inland).

  34. Le Roi du Nord

    k:

You a small thinker, so I’ll give you time to figure that out on your own.  Or you could read the above article and references.  Your choice.

  35. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

So this is where you evangelize to me how raising fuel tax on the poor, somehow controls the climate?

Preach me your belief that mankind can control the climate.

Evangelize me on how abusing the poor with tax policy controls the weather.

    Testify!
