Trump Appoints EPA Chief

I do think it’s hilarious how the media seems shocked and dismayed that Trump is appointing people who disagree with Obama and other Leftists. Uh, guys? That was kind of the point.

US President-elect Donald Trump has chosen an outspoken critic of President Obama’s climate change policies to head the Environmental Protection Agency.

Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, 48, is seen as an ally of the fossil fuel industry.

He has been a key player in legal challenges against EPA regulations on greenhouse gas emissions.

Democrats and environmentalists in the US have expressed dismay, calling Mr Pruitt a climate change denier.

News of Mr Pruitt’s appointment emerged on Wednesday evening. Mr Trump formally confirmed it in a statement on Thursday.

Good to have someone there who is not practicing global warming religion.

Church and state separation is important when it comes to climate change evangelists being in charge of EPA. Obama never had proper separation of global warming church in his administration.

Excellent nomination to take climate change religion out of EPA.

    What a bunch of nonsense.

“someone there who is not practicing global warming religion”,  “to take climate change religion out of EPA”.

Truly the knee-jerk reaction of one who fails to have any grasp on the world around them.

  3. Kevin Scheunemann

Spoken like a passionate global warming evangelist.

Are you an officially ordained disciple of climate change?

Do you get invited to dance around the BBQ pit fire, as you hold your breath, shouting “carbon dioxide is evil” at Al Gore’s mansion once in a while ?

If so, I might want to observe your religious ritual sometime.

It’s not that these appointments have different viewpoints than our current President, rather I think people are concerned because these picks are extremely hostile to the very idea and mission of the agencies they are being tapped to lead. Pruitt running the EPA is akin to a vegetarian being the head of the Meat council. DeVos being the Education Secretary isn’t any different than a “no nukes” pacifist in charge of the Pentagon.

And yes…I totally understand that you feel these particular federal agencies, and many others, should simply be eliminated and you’re ok with seeing the positions being filled with people who wish to dismantle the entire organization…but please be honest about why so many people are “dismayed” by these picks. It goes waaaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond a simple difference of opinion.

Trumps way smarter then he appears. Trump has never been a conservative. Looks to me like he is setting things up so Republicans will take he full brunt of any designed failures. Many people, not necessarily me, have speculated this is a big conspiracy. That Trump has been working with Dems to destroy the Republican Party. With every nomination it looks more and more like they are onto something. Hard to believe anyone could be so stupid.

  6. Le Roi du Nord

If you would leave religion out of the conversation maybe there could be some common ground between us.  But you always attempt to mask your ignorance of a subject in some religious mumbo-jumbo.  That doesn’t make you any more believable, it just makes everyone realize you are clueless regarding the topic at hand.

    Great points.

  7. Kevin Scheunemann

Global warming/climate change is one of the biggest religions of them all.

I can’t help that you deny your religion when asked.

Climate change disciples should wear it proudly….preach the gospel of big government, high taxes, high energy costs.

  8. Le Roi du Nord

Just utter nonsense.  We expect no less from you.

  9. Kevin Scheunemann

Are you ashamed of your religion?

True believers should display it proudly….

  10. Le Roi du Nord

And what religion is that, oh great and all-knowing one?

  11. Kevin Scheunemann

    Climate change religion.

  12. Le Roi du Nord

No such thing except in your narrow-minded world.  You are making stuff up yet again.

  13. Kevin Scheunemann

    Where’s the pride and passion?

You seem ashamed of your climate change religion.

I agree though, climate change does not exist.

  14. Le Roi du Nord

Since you insist on having the last word I’ll end my input on this thread thusly:

god didn’t give you the right to vote.

You don’t have a guaranteed right to vote in the constitution.

There is no “climate change religion”.

Climate change does exist.  Your hiding behind religion doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

    Seeya for now.

  15. Kevin Scheunemann

There’s a little bit of pride, but still sounds like you are ashamed.    You will have to evangelize us climate change non-believers with a lot more passion than that.

Will you acknowledge you think Trump’s pick is the great satan to your climate change religion….or is Trump’s pick not that bad?
