Shooting Deaths of LEOs Up 78%

Horrible. There’s a poison in our culture that the Democrats are celebrating this week.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Shooting deaths of law enforcement officers spiked 78 percent in the first half of 2016 compared to last year, including an alarming increase in ambush-style assaults like the ones that killed eight officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge, according to a report released Wednesday.

We need to counter the poison the liberals are spreading.

Show your support for your local police department:

We need to take this battle to liberals firsthand and show them that the majority of us do not accept letting our society being overrun by criminals wishing police harm.

From the Officer Down Memorial page:

LEO deaths (not accidents or vehicle related) per year under Presidents since Reagan:

    Reagan   101/year

    G.H.W. Bush   90/year

    W. Clinton   81/year

    G. W. Bush  74/year

    Obama  62/year

Even with the most recent tragedies the 62/year doesn’t change.  Looks like it is safer for a police officer during the Obama administration that it was under Reagan.

    Nord,

That does not excuse the last 8 LEO deaths in past month that were a substantial result of the poison against LEO officers spread by liberals.

    The number should be zero.

    Kevin:

No, it doesn’t excuse any violence against LEOs.  I didn’t say it did.  But liberals are no more responsible for those last eight than you are.  Your claim is absolutely ridiculous.

  5. Le Roi du Nord

    Kevin:

Apparently you have changed the rules, whatever they may have been, and also attempted to changed the subject of this thread.  The original topic was shooting deaths of LEO s.  Now you want to talk about the Roof shooting in SC, and the possible influence the Confederate flag may have had in the mindset of the shooter.  Quite a leap there.

Owen has mentioned several times that he is disappointed to the way some conversations stray afar from the original subject. I guess you have provided  a great example.

I’ll get back to my original premise:  It is safer to be a police officer today than it was in 1985.  Think long-term trends and big-picture.

    Nord,

The topic was the poison and hate being spread by liberals against LEO.

If an inanimate flag can be responsible for that shooting in SC, why can’t the anti-cop rhetoric from BLM like “Pigs in a blanket, fry ’em like bacon” be responsible for hateful cop shootings?

Liberals have long used these blaming tools…I was just pointing out SC shooting as perfect example of that liberal tactic.

Now…when I point out the responsibility of the hate rhetoric, or the symbols of hate, of left wing hate groups…there is crying foul.

My comments of left wing hate group responsibility should be mild compared to what liberals did on the SC shooting.

    You truly are delusional.

  8. Kevin Scheunemann

    Nord,

    Whew!   That’s a relief.

Thought for a minute there, you were actually going to make an argument against the liberal standard (the SC standard) being applied to liberal cop shootings and liberal cop hate.

I watched the DNC convention. I also searched the internet trying to find Democrats who were celebrating the poison, the supposed increase or deaths of LEo’s but was pleasantly unsuccessful. Why do some insist on making inflammatory statements that bait those weak of mind into rants of hate and fear? Not to stray from the topic but what responsiblity should one shoulder if caught spreading visious rumors born from ignorance?

  10. Le Roi du Nord

    NHolland:

Great post, and thanks for the research.

    To quote Rand Paul:

“Ignorance is not confined to uneducated people”.

  11. Kevin Scheunemann

    Guys,

Actions speak louder than words at DNC.

—American Flag was seen as a hate symbol at DNC

—-mothers of many criminal thugs were invited to speak. Why are liberals extoling bad parenting? Doesn’t bad parenting mak LEO job much more difficult?

—- Where were families and relatives of fallen officers, whose lives were taken by criminal thugs?

—-why did Philly police union denounce Hillary Clinton’s anti-cop agenda?

—was there any apology for Obam’a years long war on cops?

Afraid you both missed all this liberal poison from DNC.

  12. NHolland

    1) Nonsense. The American Flag was front and center main stage as well as, literally, thousands of others located throughout the convention hall and Philadelphia. Obviously you didn’t attend or watch.
    2) Nonsense. Many many many mothers spoke. Mothers of dead children still have a voice. Not even LEos are perfect parents but they still have a voice. Many many many spoke out against violence towards police. Every mother or father i watched speak denounced such violence.
    3) Nonsense. Jennifer London, Barbara Owens, Wayne Walker…
    4) Nonsense. Most police unions are yet to give any endorsement.
    5) Nonsense. There is no war on police. Therefore no apology needed.

I am afraid you let the unfounded inflammatory rhetoric of others influence your opinion. That is truly the poison at issue. Although I respect your right to have an opinion in no way do i believe your opinion is right or helpful in solving the problem. When trying to solve issues such as violence against police or unjustified police shootings truth and justice must be in the forefront. Clouding the issues with politics especially politics smeared with Trump only widens the divide. As Americans we can’t afford to have the issues fogged over by those wanting to separate us from our votes. Practice truth…
Its the Christian thing to do.

4.) I said nothing about endorsement. I said philly police union denounced Hillary and her pro thug speakers. http://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/jul/21/philadelphia-police-union-slams-hillary-clinton-ov/

5.) Read any speech by Obama last 24 months before the 8 cops were killed this last month. Only then did president soften his anti-police rhetoric.

Thanks for the laugh once again….liberals worried about “inflammatory rhetoric”?

Liberals invented “pigs in a blanket fry ’em like bacon” toward LEO’s and the rest of us will not stand for that kind of hate.
