Chicago Fittings will move to Beloit, about 25 miles north of its current headquarters in Belvidere. Plans are in place to break ground next spring on a 30,000-square-foot building in Beloit’s Gateway Business Park.
The company would own the facility, which will initially employ about 20 people, up from 16 now, with growth expected through the next several years.
“It was really the whole package that the state of Wisconsin was providing for us,” she said. “It’s the tax incentives, it’s the land that we’re able to buy, it’s the fact that utilities are less, workman’s (compensation) and insurance are less—kind of the whole package.”
Notice the mention of utility costs. It is worth keeping that in mind when thinking about Obama’s new EPA regulations about to hammer utility prices in Wisconsin.
