The former Minneapolis police officer seen in a video with his knee on George Floyd’s neck before the unarmed black man died this week was taken into custody Friday by state authorities, according to John Harrington, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.The officer, Derek Chauvin, was taken into custody by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension as fires continued to burn from violent protests overnight as demonstrators demanded justice for Floyd.
The guy with something like 18 previous complains and internal investigations? Hope he ends up in Gen Pop.
I hope police will give all suspected murderers 4 days before they take them into custody. That will only be fair.

I also support Amy Klobuchar being indicted for her liberal soft on crime on previous complaints with this officer.

I do agree with Kevin on Klobuchar’s failure to prosecute him. Trump’s DOJ was equally soft on crime, as they didn’t do anything about the complaints either, as they were charged and authorized to do so via the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act .
