Hey, there’s some good news.

Famed Finnish scissor-maker FiskarsCorp. is keeping its Americas headquarters in Dane County, consolidating Illinois and Madison operations with a $26.3 million project in Middleton.

The new headquarters will open in fall 2016 with 108,000 square feet of office and research and development space, according to a Wednesday announcement from Gov. Scott Walker’s office. The facility will hold up to 400 workers. It will be Fiskars’ North, Central and South American headquarters.
