Under the terms of the ceasefire, over 60 days Hezbollah will remove its fighters and weapons from the area between the Blue Line – the unofficial border between Lebanon and Israel – and the Litani river, about 30km (20 miles) to the north.
Hezbollah fighters will be replaced by Lebanese army forces in that area, who will ensure that infrastructure or weaponry is removed and that it cannot be rebuilt, according to a senior US official.
Over the same 60 days, Israel will gradually withdraw its remaining forces and civilians, Biden said, adding that it would enable civilians on both sides of the border to return to their homes.

Amazing how peace is possible when the terrorists do not keep and hold onto Israeli civilians. It will go completely unremarked in lib circles.
Hezbollah gets 60 days to rest, reorganize, and reload. Peace isn’t even on the horizon.
I am sure that is right, but the fiction of peace is all libs (include most UN members here) want in the first place if they are still backing terrorist groups. Israel is willing to back off of Hezbollah just as they have backed off in the past from HAMAS with UN encouragement.
My point was that the fiction of peace hasn’t happened in over a year with HAMAS because there are still potentially hostages alive. If Hezbollah had taken Israeli citizens along their border when they started sending missiles over their would be no cease-fire with Hezbollah either. Multiple front wars should always be avoided when possible, so once again I fully agree with Israeli strategy. Take that 60 days to continue full frontals on HAMAS.
I’m not optimistic that Hezbollah will retreat at all… and even less so that the Lebanese government/army possesses either the will or the skills necessary to make Hezbollah comply.
