Occupy Ottawa Continues

It is telling how different the media coverage is of this protest compared to the Occupy or BLM protests. In all cases, you had a group of protestors taking physical control of a public area.

The mayor of Canada’s capital, Ottawa, has declared a state of emergency in response to more than a week of truckers’ protests against Covid restrictions.

Jim Watson said the city was “losing this battle” and “completely out of control”.

He added the protests posed a threat to residents’ safety. There have also been reports of racial attacks.

Ottawa’s centre has been paralysed, with vehicles and tents blocking roads.

The “Freedom Convoy” was sparked by the introduction last month of a new rule that all truckers must be vaccinated to cross the US-Canada border, but the protests have morphed into broader challenges to Covid health restrictions.

The protesters have since gathered in central Ottawa near Parliament Hill, and their demands have grown to include ending all such mandates nationwide and opposing the government of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

I wonder how many buildings were burned to the ground?
I wonder how many people were killed or injured in Ottawa due to the protest?
I wonder many arrests were made for violence in Ottaea?
While I don’t much respect for Canada before,, but I have certainly have a lot more disrespect for Canada and Black Face Trudeau.
From bursting into churches and stupid ass vaccine mandates and lockdowns, they make the fake doctor Fauci look tame.

  2. Mar

Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Austria and many Democrat run states have become just a joke and and making their citizens live with a tyrannical government.
Fortunately, the Supreme Court and other courts has put the brakes on Senile Joe Biden’s attempt at his version of tyranny.
Of course, the sheeple will be upset withe the US courts, but then again, they are sheeple, not capable of independent thought.

Canadian police have now resorted to stealing the gasoline (and other supplies) from the truckers and/or their supporters.

Not a good way to win friends, is it?

‘S OK. The truckers may leave. And then they will never return to Ottawa, nor its grocery stores, hardware stores, gas stations, …….none of them. Ottawa residents will be picking up goods in the next Province.

  4. Jason

I notice there has been little coverage of the jeep that ran over a protester. Far different than the wall to wall – 24/7 – nonstop coverage of a protestor run over in North Carolina a few years back.

I notice there has been little coverage of police stealing gas cans from unattended vehicles.

I notice there has been little coverage of an activist judge creating laws from his bench (no horn honking for 10 days).

Fucking Liberals simps are the same no matter was longitude they are in.

‘S OK. The truckers may leave. And then they will never return to Ottawa, nor its grocery stores, hardware stores, gas stations, …….none of them. Ottawa residents will be picking up goods in the next Province.

They may have to walk to the next province, no gas deliveries.

  6. Mar

With a shortage of drivers, that’s a good possibility.

  7. Mar

Black Face Trudeau is getting desperate:
“Canadians trust science,” he said. “A few people shouting and waving swastikas does not define who Canadians are.”
Yeah, when you cannot win an argument, bring in the Hitler/Nation comparisons without justification.

  8. Jason

This stuff has to be made up…

    >Some Ottawa seniors are afraid to leave their homes alone, so residents are accompanying them for neighbourhood walks. Other individuals need help with grocery deliveries. And at least one health care worker asked for rides to the hospital because he no longer feels safe travelling alone.

    >People in the city are dealing with the emotional and mental toll of a protest that has occupied downtown Ottawa over the past week as trucks blare their horns at all hours, streets are blocked by large vehicles, and some report physical and verbal abuse from protesters. Experts worry that the stress could have long-lasting effects on the health of residents who have also been navigating life during a pandemic

    >Taryn Grieder, an assistant professor in psychology at the University of Toronto, said increased stress could have long-lasting physical effects on the brain and body, including a risk of heart disease. There are psychological effects, too, in terms of increased risk of depression and anxiety disorders, and the worsening of any pre-existing mental illness, she said.

    >“They are suffering pretty significantly in terms of their sleep patterns, their mood, their irritability and their overall physical health. There’s a link between psychological stress and physical effects on the body,” Prof. Grieder said. “It’s not a good situation.”

    >She added: The protest is “compounding the stress. They’ve already been under this chronic stress of trying to live in a pandemic and then having their life disrupted further on top of that is definitely making things a lot worse for them.”

I searched, and I couldn’t find any record of Prof. Grieder having those concerns over the Minneapolis protests, the Kenosha protests, the Seattle “Autonomous Zone”, or the as-of-yet, still occurring night-time Portland riots. Odd that a professor is a hypocrite. :)

  9. dad29

Professors lie like Hell on command. They are the trained monkeys for the Money Source–in this case, the Canadian Government.

And one can find Frightened Grannies anyplace, if one pushes leading questions into their faces.

It is the OPINION–not the FACTS–of the writer that the protest ‘is compounding the stress.’

Who reads that crap, anyway? You want crap? Watch the Channel 58 news at 9:00 PM.

Canadians are not that heroic or strong.
When was the last time Canadians won a war?
How long were they ruled by a king or queen from across the Atlantic Ocean?
Hell, when was the last time a Canadian hockey team won the Stanley Cup?

  11. dad29

Here’s how Ace puts it when discussing Lefties like the ones the Canadian reporter made up:

The left has always been the political movement of neuroses, hysteria, insecurity, cloying need for validation, emotional fragility, and childlike temper-tantrums and outbursts of pure psychopathic hatred when frustrated.

That’s what makes the left the left. Leftist — Marxism — is best understood not as an actual politics but as a twisted self-help program for broken people, giving bent, bitter, sick individuals an external collection of boogeymen to redirect and focus their self-loathing at.

    LeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeRoy comes to mind.

Mar, Canada was our ally in WWII, Korea, Desert Storm, and the ‘stan. I’ll remind you that the US did NOT “win” the war in Afghanistan, but Canada helped us in every other one.

  12. Mar

Dad, come on, really? Ally, perhaps but seriously, how much did they actually contribute? How many of thousands of soldiers another service people did they lose?
Granted, they may be more powerful than say Japan or Monaco or. New Zealand or Liechtenstein but not by much.

  13. dad29

1.1 million in WWII, with about 100 thousand casualties.

Total population of Canada in 1940: 11.5 million.

Sorry that doesn’t meet your expectations, pal.

  14. dad29

However, ONE Canadian refused to serve during WWII: Pierre Trudeau, notorious sex maniac and not-really-daddy of Justin.

  15. Merlin

Back in the olden days NAS Miramar would host Canadian squadrons a couple of times a year. Mostly ACM training against our aggressor squadron for a couple of weeks at a time, but they also participated in war gaming evolutions with their anti-sub warfare aircraft. Ground and maintenance crews came along as did small contingents of observers. I have no idea how beneficial any of that cross-decking really was, but there had to be at least some benefits to having their Air Force personnel exposed to the rather unconventional environment of naval aviation. I would assume this is still occurring. Canada eventually transitioned to F-18s that were essentially stock editions of USN F-18s. They were active in the Gulf Wars and Yugoslavia that I know of, so Canadian military air assets are at the very least capable of functioning in adjunct roles.

They’ve ordered F-35s so they’re at least trying to keep up… somewhat.

  16. MjM

Jason sez: “I notice there has been little coverage of police stealing gas cans from unattended vehicles.”

They were actually hauling off pull-behind tanks, the kind you see at large construction sites for fueling bobcats and such.

But today a win: Judge orders cops to return stolen fuel.

  17. Mar

Ok, Dad,, the soldiers are not weak, their leaders are very weak, even weaker than Senile Joe. They are also very paranoid and tyrannical., just like almost every liberal.

  18. Jason

A reminder of why we keep and bear arms… our slimy pussies in the North think they can take and dictate on a whim.

    >The Ontario Superior Court of Justice has granted a request from the provincial government to freeze access to millions of dollars donated through online fundraising platform GiveSendGo to the truckers’ convoy protesting COVID-19 restrictions in Ottawa and at several border crossings.

START BURNING SHIT DOWN. And Leroy, you’re still a slum bitch.

  19. MjM

GiveSendGo responds: “ Know this! Canada has absolutely ZERO jurisdiction over how we manage our funds here at GiveSendGo. All funds for EVERY campaign on GiveSendGo flow directly to the recipients of those campaigns, not least of which is The Freedom Convoy campaign.”

  20. Jason

MJM. It’s not looking good. Lil Norther Castro Truduae is ordering bank accounts frozen and insurance policies cancelled.

Whats the saying… Scratch a liberal and you’ll find a fascist?

  21. MjM

Hang in there. Lil Castro’s butt is about to be burnt to a crisp.

Saskatchewan does not support the Trudeau government invoking the Emergencies Act. If the federal government does proceed with this measure, I would hope it would only be invoked in provinces that request it, as the legislation allows. – Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe

Alberta, Quebec, and Manitoba premiers made similar statements. Note that these are direct neighbors. If that conditional application is true, dissenting provinces will most likely file court challenges. The Canadian equivalent of the ACLU looks like it wants to file, too(“ The Emergencies Act can only be invoked when a situation ‘seriously threatens the ability of the Government of Canada to preserve the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Canada’”)

And watch for a massive run on Canadian banks tomorrow.

  22. Mar

    This is a liberals dream.
Liberals say are for freedom but in reality they ended up being more like North Korea, China and Belarus.
The federal government of Canada is a tyrannical, communist worthy of being mentioned in the same breath of North Korea or the concentration camps of China.

  23. Jason

    >As of today, a bank or other financial service provider will be able to immediately freeze or suspend an account without a court order. In doing so, they will be protected against civil liability for actions taken in good faith.

    >Federal government institutions will have a new broad authority to share relevant information with banks and other financial service providers to ensure that we can all work together to put a stop to the funding of these illegal blockades.

    >This is about following the money. This is about stopping the financing of these illegal blockades. We are today serving notice: if your truck is being used in these protests, your corporate accounts will be frozen. The insurance on your vehicle will be suspended.

Its about time one of these truckers parks their trailer on lil Castro. And I don’t say that lightly. But fighting dirty goes two ways.

  24. Jason

Meanwhile, BLM protester campaigns are still active and getting donations on GoFuckMe. The criminals who occupied a portion of Seattle are getting money sent to them through GoFuckYou and no one cries out in pain.

  25. MjM

The insurance on your vehicle will be suspended.

Brilliant!! Prevent drivers from driving!* Why didn’t them g’vment hosers think of that before?

*In Ottawa the first offense fine for driving w/o insurance is $5000-$25000can.

  26. Jason

And now the mounties are riding their horses through the crowds and trampling octogenarian ladies. Remember the false flag outrage from the drooling left about racist border patrol agents whipping poor fast food leftover carrying immigrants and asylum seeking hapless folk on our southern border?

Does anything think the foaming, drooling left will cry out in synchronized outrage at this? Where’s fuckface Maxine Waters today?

  27. Mar

I once had respect for Canadians. Especially I used to live very close to the Canadian border in North Dakota and Montana.
But now, they have allowed a Black Face racist and dictator, and there are no other words to really call to the racist and they just elected hi.. So, you get what you voted for.
But I bet MHMaley and Lying Karen Le Roi live the black face racist dictator. Well, at least we know Lying Karen Le Roi loves the guy because he supports the Canadian Black Face leader.

  28. Mar

The convoy is supposed to start today in Barstow and the organizers are expecting about 1000 trucks to start off.
And I-40 is shut down near Flagstaff, AZ because of a maj I r winter snowstorm, and Arizona being a hot weather state, is not really equipped to open it up quickly. Because of this, the trucks will be bunched up, making the convoy stronger.
