Violence Spikes As Mayors Retreat

Defund the police?

At least 41 people were injured and at least nine killed following a troubling spike of shootings in the Big Apple across the holiday weekend. A spokesperson for the NYPD said the majority of the incidents occurred within a 15-hour time period.

Shootings in New York City have doubled every week for the last three weeks. In the last seven days alone, the city has experienced a 142 percent surge in shootings compared to the same time period last year.

Memphis, Omaha, Cleveland and several other cities were also rocked by a spate of shootings amid the holiday revelry.  In total, 37 have been killed in shootings across the US.

A total of 63 people were injured and 17 killed in the Windy City from Thursday afternoon to Sunday 6am.
In Detroit two people were killed and five were injured in gun violence over the holiday weekend.

In St. Louis, three people were killed and 11 injured across a 15 hour period. Four of the injured victims were children.

    Local liberals cheer.

Counter-intuitive:  Milwaukee has been pretty good about containing/countering the problem-children.  Credit to the police chief (who Barrett really, really, really, wants to dump to the curb.)

  3. Mar says:

Yes, but it must be white privilege or the cops fault or President Trump’s fault.
But the liberals need look in the mirror and admit the problem is their fault.
No cash bail, emptying the prisons, restraining the cops from doing their job and the violent protests are on the liberals.

MILWAUKEE — Twelve people were hurt in seven separate shootings between noon on the Fourth of July and 2 a.m. Sunday, July 5, Milwaukee police reported.

Meanwhile,  the toll of Chitown victims is up to 87…

CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago’s July 4th holiday marked the third straight weekend that a child has fallen victim to gun violence in the city.

From Thursday at 6 p.m. through Sunday night, 87 people were shot in Chicago. Seventeen of the victims have died, including 7-year-old Natalie Wallace who was fatally shot in Austin Saturday night.

At a press conference Monday morning, Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown expressed condolences to the families of the shooting victims and called for changes to stop the violence.

Yak Yak Yak.  Useless police chief.  Useless mayor.  Useless Democrats all.

Yah, I could have been more clear.  MKE has very little in “peaceful” demonstrations with rocks, Molotovs, and beaten-down normies.  The marches have largely been noisy, but that’s all.  (Not that noise is good….)

As to the usual stuff like shootings and murders, well………..
