Employment Rises, Beats Expectations

From the email. Outstanding!

Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 2.5 million in May, and the unemployment rate fell to 13.3 percent. These improvements in the labor market reflected a limited resumption of economic activity that had been curtailed in March and April due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Oh, the liberals and Trump haters will not like this.
And most pundits got this very wrong. They said the unemployment rate would be 20-25% now.
And it’s only going to get better.

@peterbakernyt:  “When a reporter notes that unemployment among African Americans actually went up slightly, not down, Trump dismisses that with a wave. “You are something,” he says without addressing the point.”

Yep, hating jjf, has to find a negative.
And if you think about it, Blacks have been getting the Chinese virus at a much higher rate than Whites. So, it stands to reason that that group will have been affected more with unemployment. That it went up just slightly is also good news.

“Hopefully, George is looking down right and saying this is a great thing that’s happening for our country. It’s a great day for him, it’s a great day for everybody.”

Your pull quote is not only inaccurate, but completely without context. Almost like it’s intended to be typically deceitful liberal bullshit.

“Equal justice under the law must mean that every American receives equal treatment in every encounter with law enforcement, regardless of race, color, gender, or creed,” Trump said. “They have to receive fair treatment from law enforcement.”

“What we saw last week,” he continued. “We cannot let that happen. Hopefully, George is looking down right now and saying, there is a great thing that’s happening for our country. It is a great day for him. It is a great day for everybody. This is a great, great day in terms or equality.”
