Ungrateful Little…

We have a couple of bird feeders in our back yard.  Even though the birds tick me off when they wake me up with their incessant chirping at dawn when we have the windows open, we like to have them around.  They are fun to watch and the kids love them.

Recently I bought a new bag of bird food.  For a long time we had Sun Flower seeds, which they loved, but the seeds that fell to the ground were growing and killing the grass under the feeders.  I picked up a 10 lb bag of wild bird food from Fleet Farm.  I filled the feeders a couple of weeks ago and… the birds hate it.  A couple of them come along every now and then to nibble, but it’s taking forever for the feeders to empty. 

As I think about it, it pisses me off.  Those ungrateful beaked ingrates!  We spend our hard earned money filling a feeder with perfectly good food so that they can leisurely take in a meal and they turn up their noses.  The NERVE! 

Next time I’m loading those feeders with rat poison.
