Second Guessing

I went out on a limb for Wendy for Christmas this year.  Usually she’s very good at dropping hints.  In past years she had occasionally been too subtle and I missed it - which is to say that she flat out told me and I forgot or thought I had a better idea.  This year (after two or three years of me missing hints) I went out and got her some real cooking knives. 

Now, Wendy had said that she wanted some real cooking knives, but neglected to specify what kind.  As I wandered into the world of professional cutlery, I learned that there was quite a bit of variety and a wide array of differing opinions.  After a lot of research and asking around, I finally settled on some Global Cutlery.

For all of you kitchen gurus out there, did I do OK or should I have gone with something different?
