Woman Sat on Toilet for Two Years

That’s just odd… and sad.

Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple said it appeared the 35-year-old Ness City woman’s skin had grown around the seat. She initially refused emergency medical services but was finally convinced by responders and her boyfriend that she needed to be checked out at a hospital.

“We pried the toilet seat off with a pry bar and the seat went with her to the hospital,” Whipple said. “The hospital removed it.”

Whipple said investigators planned to present their report Wednesday to the county attorney, who will determine whether any charges should be filed against the woman’s 36-year-old boyfriend.

“She was not glued. She was not tied. She was just physically stuck by her body,” Whipple said. “It is hard to imagine. ... I still have a hard time imagining it myself.”

He told investigators he brought his girlfriend food and water, and asked her every day to come out of the bathroom.

  1. That must have been one good book she was reading.

  3. 1.  “Sheriff Whipple?” You’re putting me on.  Maybe she was afraid to get up for fear of getting arrested for squeezing the Charmin?

    2.  She had a boyfriend?  On the one hand, cuddling was out.  He didn’t have to listen to her talk through sports.  And he could stay out with the guys as late as he wanted.

On the other hand, she grafted to a toilet.

  4. It’s a good thing the toilet never plugged up.

  5. That has got to be one of the weirdest stories ever! Hahaha. What was her problem? Why did she have to stay on that seat for that long time? oh my goodness.

  6. There is obviously more to this story than they are reporting. Although I’m not sure I really want to know any more details.

  7. What, will one of the charges against the guy be for leaving the toilet seat down?  I mean, if he hadn’t, at least her butt wouldn’t have swallowed it.  Something to keep in mind next time a lady complains that the seat was left up - just doing a favor in case she sits down for two years, that is all.

I saw the bit on TV - looked like they were in a trailer home (a double wide, I assume).  Just curious, do trailer homes have more than one bathroom?
