Good. Throw the book at her.
(Reuters) - A 24-year-old Rochester, New York-area woman illegally supplied two of the firearms used in the Christmas Eve sniper deaths of two volunteer firefighters who were responding to a deliberately set house fire, law enforcement officials said Friday.
U.S. Attorney William Hochul said Dawn Nguyen of Greece, New York, acted as a so-called “straw purchaser” for the two long guns used by William Spengler in the pre-dawn attack on December 24. Spengler, a 62-year-old ex-convict who was forbidden to own guns, also had a handgun in his possession, a Smith & Wesson .38 caliber revolver.
Nguyen was arrested on Friday at her home in Greece, a town about 10 miles west of Rochester. She was charged with the federal offense of willfully making a false statement in connection with the purchase of a firearm, according to the affidavit filed with her arrest warrant.
I think this is good. What Spengler did was terrible but if this young woman did purchase guns for Spengler, then she is an accomplice to murder and should be prosecuted.
I had not read the details on this situation until just now. Did not realize the killer was out on parole. He apparently had bludgeoned his grandmother to death many years earlier with a hammer. Why is there parole for nuts like this? And who then takes this guy to the store to buy guns for him?
Again, to the pro-gun control crowd, everything she and he did was against the law.
So do you have a problem with her violating this relatively arbitrary statute or do you have a problem with the entire ideology that makes it easy for inappropriate people to obtain and transfer guns?
And you know what? A dear friend of mine was shot and killed last night while performing at a house party. By a dumbfuck teenager that had no business ever possessing a firearm. How many people have the suburban gun enthusiasts lost to their enthusium? You understand why make some of us sick, right?
Why is there parole for nuts like this?
And that is the crux of the issue.
We should have put this guy out of his misery years ago.
Jason, can you please provide information about what happened to your friend please.
Now Briton Docs want to ban kitchen knives because of all of the stabbings. Funny how per capita, you are more likely to be a victim of a violent crime just about anywhere else in the european union where firearms are all but banned for the masses. We as a people do not have a weapon problem…we have a human issue. Evil will find a way to sow the seeds of destruction.
That’s a creepy question presented in a creepy way, dan, but he was shot while djing at a house party because one dumbshit kid had beef with another dumbshit kid and was somehow able to obtain a firearm. Hit twice in the shoulder. No vital organs struck but enough tissue damage and immediate blood loss that he never really had a chance. Especially not in a place where an ambulence takes nearly a half hour. Hug your kids. The world is a horrible place and there’s a stunning amount of indifference to that fact.
I am sorry for your loss Jason, that’s just awful.
But again, the punk who shot him violated several state and federal laws. Thus, to those who propose more laws to “stop the violence”, just understand that for every law written, there is some “dumbshit kid” just waiting to break it.
Jason, my condolences for your loss. It is unfortunate that we choose to structure our society in such a way that dumbshits (to maintain the existing vernacular of the thread) have nearly unfettered access to firearms. All societies have dumbshits, but most can’t escalate the level of violence as rapidly as our special breed of American dumbshit can. And that’s a choice we as Americans collectively make. Your friend is the opportunity cost for our liberal firearms policies. It’s terrible, but it’s also the truth.
Mr. Pants is correct. More laws don’t solve these problems. The problem is that there are so many guns available to be obtained, legally or otherwise, in the first place. If that same conflict happens in Germany, or Sweden, or France, or any other western nation, odds are that your friend is still alive right now. Why? Because your everyday, run-of-the-mill dumbshit in those countries can’t get a gun.
I had a whole eloqent detailed response and i forgot to do the captr so i lost it. And that took a lot of effort because ive been drinking and crying for 12 hours, so im gonna shorten it up:
Fuck you. You know exactly how this kid was so easily able to obtain a gun and its becuase you create that situation as your hobby.

The kid took the gun from his father. At the very least NRA people shouldn’t be openly hostile to the idea of trigger locks. This is the second holiday season in a row where I’m mourning a friend killed at a party by a person who shouldn’t have had a gun. This country is getting out of hand.
At the very least NRA people shouldn’t be openly hostile to the idea of trigger locks.
My guess is that they are not, as long as it’s not dictated by the federal government. Trigger locks are available and “cheap” when compared to the cost of a gun, it’s an individual’s choice to use one or not. In your case, I’d be all for charging both the son and the father to the fullest extent, but to even suggest that a trigger lock be a requirement to possession of a firearm is going to far.
Why is there parole for nuts like this?
Because we already lock up a world-record number of inmates, mostly due to all the illegal gardeners and herb-sellers that have mandatory minimum sentences attached to their crimes. End the war on drugs and we’ll have plenty of room in our prisons for the actual bad guys.
Eric Holder and Obama are still at large, after sending a couple thousand weapons to the Sinaloa drug cartel. Probably without trigger locks.
