Wisconsin’s unemployment rate rose to 7.6% last month, the highest rate for January in 23 years.
Separate payroll estimates showed another 72,700 jobs lost in the last 12 months, the state Department of Workforce Development reported Thursday.
The job losses accelerated as Wisconsin marked its 11th consecutive month of year-to-year decreases. Except for educational and health services, every major private employment sector had fewer jobs last month than in January 2008.
I blame the last eight weeks of failed economic policy.

It’s a recession - part of the natural business cycle, exasperated by Frank and Dodd, and some really greedy bankers.
Term limits for Congress!
