The infamous Badger poll has Wisconsin as a toss up. Of course, it’s a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time until November.
The latest poll of the presidential race shows that none of the three remaining candidates has a majority of support in Wisconsin.
The University of Wisconsin Survey Center’s Badger Poll released Monday shows that among likely voters Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona has a lead over Democratic New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton 47 percent to 41 percent.
Democratic Illinois Sen. Barack Obama leads McCain 47 percent to 43 percent.
But both matchups are within the poll’s 5.3 percentage-point margin of error.
In other words, Wisconsin is up for grabs no matter who the Democratic nominee is.
You can tell where my mind was this morning - I had to read the headline twice. The first time I thought that is said
Wisconsin “Up for Sale”
And I thought - who is going to buy us. Michigan and Illinois already have their share of problems. Minnesota is too stuck up. Maybe California would buy us so that they could corner the dairy market.
Then I read the headline again.
I have got to get my blood sugar under control.
The poll should have been more comprehensive. The way the Democrat primary process is going, the pollsters should have also matched McCain against Gore, Edwards, and Gravel.
It’s only up for grabs if they audit Milwaukee voter results.
