Sigh...
Wisconsin lost 12,000 jobs in the last year, the state Department of Workforce Development reported this afternoon.
Some sectors fared worse than others. Manufacturers had 11,000 fewer jobs than in July 2007, while the health care and social assistance sector added 7,400.
The state unemployment rate, reflecting the degree to which job seekers don’t find work, stayed at 4.8% last month, the same as in July 2007.
How many jobs did Texas gain last year?

The Texas unemployment rate stood at 4.4 percent in June, down from 4.5 percent in May but up from 4.3 percent in June 2007. The U.S. jobless rate last month was 5.5 percent, up from 4.6 percent in June 2007.
All we have to do is look across the pond and see how successful Michigan has been at taxing their way to prosperity. The electorate of this state had better wake up before the job erosion becomes irreversible.

Wonder how many more “social service and health” jobs there are out there…
Posted by dad29 on August 14, 2008 at 2101 hrsGranholm is probably gone after the 2010 elections. Will Doyle likewise be shown the door?

I’ve must have written a dozen times stating it’s impossible to tax ones’ way to prosperity; a concept the liberals just can’t (or refuse to) comprehend.
Just keep it up, Diamond Jim…will it be Detoitkee or Milwoit?
Posted by (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on August 15, 2008 at 0745 hrsMichigan tried to get rid of Granholm in 2006 but Detriot overruled most of the rest of the state which was to bad Vos could have turned things around. Now with Detriot as one of the top shrinking cities here’s hoping 2010 is a good year for Michigan.
I have a feeling Doyle will be around longer than you guys think. Madison and Milwaukee seem to like incumbents.
