The cell number of a top lobbyist from Wisconsin shows up in the phone records of a Washington escort service that federal prosecutors say was a prostitution ring.
The cell number of Bill Broydrick shows up three times in 2004, with each call lasting less than a minute. The phone records are from an escort service run by Deborah Jeane Palfrey.
Broydrick declined comment today.
There are a lot of nervous Wisconsin political folks today!
This seems like such a non-issue to me.
Will Cindy stand by her man, like Sen. Vitter’s wife, or will she bolt from Bill. My guess is she weathers the storm, and forgives his indiscretion. When’s the news conference Bill?
Broydrick‘s firm employed four of the fifteen lobbyists hired by ATT to push the “Video Competition” bill here.
Yawn.
Now if he was in Congress or the White House it would be a different story. Otherwise, who cares? Not much of a leap between a prostitute and a lobbyist—oops, a hooker would at least guarantee delivery of the desired services.
Now some enterprising reporter will match up the dates of the calls with Broydrick’s clients’ travel-schedules.
