Wisconsin Is #1!!!!!

downer

The upper Midwest has the worst drunken driving rates in the country, according to a government report that says 15 percent of adult drivers nationally report driving under the influence of alcohol in the previous year.

Wisconsin leads the way. The federal government estimates more than a quarter of the state’s adult drivers had driven under the influence. Rounding out the worst five are North Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota.

Our State legislature has always allowed the Tavern League to do a tradeoff calculation balancing their right to commerce versus acceptable deaths.

  4. I agree that the actual number is likely inaccurate.  However, I think it’s safe to accept the state rankings unless we are to presume that there is a different rate of untruthfulness per state.

  5. So, how do we stack up in drunk driving related accidents vs other states? Do we have better drunk drivers than other states or not?
