BTW, there are two viable answers.

UPDATE: Congrats to RS! This is Longyearbyen, the home of the world seed vault and a CDA station. It is also the world’s northernmost town.

  2. That would the be the airport in Longyearbyen.  And there’s a CDA station on the hill.  Since we can see both, it’s also safe to assume Google didn’t take the picture between November and mid-February…
