It’s clearly a meteoric or asteroidal impact crater. It resembles the “ring lake” crater in the Congo.

Perhaps, but that’s not why this place is important. Look at the buildings to try to judge scale. Also, I’m glad you pointed out the Congo. There are a limited number of places on earth with this kind of vegetation.
Not a crater, I think, but a hill surrounded by swamp. Note that the agriculture and trees are in the circle.

So it is! Avery Island, Louisiana, the home of Tabasco Sauce! It is clearly the same spot when seen in Google Earth. But I still suspect that it is some sort of impact crater.
