What We Already Knew

Daniel Bice with the MJS has an outstanding piece of journalism that exposes the SEIU for doing what we already knew - acting as a campaign arm of the Democratic party by colluding with them to run nasty attacks against Republicans.

Like I said, we already knew this, didn’t we?  The only thing shocking is that someone actually admitted it.  You know something else we already knew?  The media are willing fools to help the SEIU push their agenda.  The local media outlets should be absolutely ashamed about this:

That’s not to mention all the free media that Morgan has gotten from TV news coverage of his union’s rallies and activities.

Morgan specifically mentioned WTMJ-TV (Channel 4) for its coverage of the union’s press-friendly inspection of county facilities last month. Like the Journal Sentinel, the station is owned by Journal Communications.

“They’ve really been willing partners in it,” Morgan claimed of the news stations. “They come in with the TV cameras, and (channels) 58, 12 come, and 6 doesn’t always. But, yeah, they’ve been really helpful. They think it’s fun.”

  2. Guess this blows the wingnut theory that Bice and the Journal Sentinel are in the sack with the Barrett campaign, huh?

  3. What a despicable bunch of scum. Just another reason to add to the many of why I despise Unions. I know they’re not all slime, but the majority seem to be.

  4. No Ann, it does no such thing.

Even the biased media has to tell the truth now and again.

Bice does not want the story told that he passed on this one.

  9. It probably is good news that this is the best the Walker opponents can do.

I would guess the large majority of Wisconsin voters would not expect the County Executive to pull out the original architectural drawings from every building and then use x-ray equipment to determine whether the entire building was built to exact plans and specs, down to each concealed bolt and rivet.

I doubt even the Walker detractors consider that a reasonable course of action.  But they don’t have anything else to run on at the moment.  These guys are so scared of losing their massive pay packages.  If they are so concerned about the public safety here, why don’t they organize an after hours group to go around and inspect all these buildings using the original plans.

  10. Wait, isn’t Bice par of the lame stream media, and shouldn’t we thus not trust the article?

That aside, haven’t we all seen this kind of operative on either side? A kid new to the scene, with big talk trying to inflate his importance. My guess would be much ado about nothing.

  11. It would be “nothing”, JimSpice, if he hadn’t called out WTMJ/4.

Now it’s “something,” and one suspects that the TMJ management is mightily PO’d about this.

OR, at least, one would HOPE that they’re unhappy.

  12. S. Austin
“Why dont they organize and inspect all the buildings.”

Because all the structures were built by union firms, as is also the case with the parking structure. They also dont have anyone qualified such as a liscensed structural engineer. Imagine the janitors union telling the union iron workers there work is faulty.

I dont care how hard they try to drive this inspection thing home, bottom line and all the evidence is faulty workmanship during construction. I cant imagine one union holding anothers feet to the fire.

  13. JimSpice, Morgan is far from being a “kid new to the scene.”

  14. DC, I stand corrected. I mis-recalled from my reading of the article. Certainly sounds like a novice blunder, no?
