Waukesha Disaster Center To Open Tomorrow

Watch out, Waukesha.  There may be riots.

Flood victims in Waukesha County can submit federal disaster relief applications starting Friday at a center that also will provide other assistance, officials said today.

Allison Bussler, chief of staff for County Executive Dan Vrakas, said the center is scheduled to open at 1 p.m. Friday inside the county’s highway operations center, 1641 Woodburn Road, just west of Crites Field.

  1. Yesterday the West Bend Daily News had an article that flood victims from Washington County would have to go to Dodge County to apply.  This is supposedly because FEMA doesn’t have enough resources to open a center in every county.  We know the real reason - if Washington County had a center, it would have been the “mother of all riots”.  This way, they can make it a little harder for all those Washington County hooligans to show up.

  2. Reminds me of when the Symbonese Liberation army kidnapped Patty Hearst.  the SLA demanded that Randolph Hearst give away a million dollars worth of food in San Francisco.  They had fights and long lines.
Gov. Ronald Reagan said: “this is one time you wish people would get some salmonella”.

  3. Will this be like voting where all someone has to do is say they live in Washington or Dodge County?  And does being in the Dodge County Correctional Facility qualify one’s whole family as living there?  Watch out for a whole lot of new residents in Washington and Dodge Counties.
