Walker’s Proposed Spending Increase

We live in an odd world when Paul Ryan is proposing a 3.4% spending increase and Governor Walker is proposing a 4% spending increase, and yet both of them are being villified as harsh budget cutters. I wish they were.

The LFB also had a slightly different accounting in the Department of Health Services budget that resulted in an overall spending increase of 4 percent for the entire state budget.

  1. When’s the tea party rally in Madison being held to protest this deficit spending that our children and grandchildren will have to pay for?

  2. Soon I hope because the Walker budget is only balanced with one billion dollars in borrowing.

  3. Not happy about budget, but it is funny (haha) how you lefties cry foul over Walker but say nothing about King Barry.

  4. AV,

Are you advocating we cut another billion out of the state budget?

    I’m all for that.

Walker deserves to be ripped for increasing spending this year.  This budget needs to be slashed.

Despite my criticism, Walker is still far more responsible than Obama.  Walker is willing to make reforms to keep the monster of government in check.  Obama is not.  Heck, Obama does not even have a reasonable budget proposed!!!!

  6. “When’s the tea party rally in Madison being held to protest this deficit spending that our children and grandchildren will have to pay for?”

There won’t be a rally. It’s OK to plunge deep into debt to appease the road-building lobby.

  7. Ah Deficit spending…Perfectly fine when the GOP does it. Socialist Nazi’s when it’s not. Many lols all around.

  8. Walker is going to put our children in debt for massive road expansion even though people are diving less miles according to USDOT.

  9. Nacho, what part of the complaining about the Walker budget was your clue that conservatives here thought it was ‘perfectly fine’?  And do try to get your pathetic jokes correct.  Us unedjicated conservatives know that all (Hitler)nazis were socialists, but certainly not all socialists were/are nazis.  With your flippant backasswards use and completely missing that people here are upset about the budget increases, it just makes you look stupid.  Or maybe you did not realize that the many lols all around you are at you.

  10. 8.Walker is going to put our children in debt for massive road expansion even though people are diving less miles according to USDOT.

Sure, and this was caused by “Franken-Veto” Slimy Jim Doyle.  That fund was created by taxes on gas sales and his stealing from it should have been criminal.

  11. Oh, I guess it makes it ok because Walker is no better than Doyle.

  12. Jim Doyle is responsible for Walkers deficit spending? That makes no sense.

  13. Oh, I guess it makes it ok because Walker is no better than Doyle.

Why don’t you respond to what I said?  Oh, I know, because then you can’t troll.

Jim Doyle is responsible for Walkers deficit spending? That makes no sense.

When a fully funded bucket of money gained by tax on gasoline is robbed by a franken veto pen wielded by one man, it makes it pretty easy to point the finger.

No one who has written about this on this web site has expressed pleasure at what has happened.  Maybe you both should just shut your mouths so we only think you’re stupid.

  15. Sorry, jason, I’m not going to respond to you nonsensical comment about Gov. Doyle.  The State does not have to spend a billion dollars on road construction next budget.  Some projects can be delayed and some of the capacity expansion is not needed since people are driving fewer miles.  Cuts can be made in road construction just like every line item in the budget.  If you spend less money then less money needs to be borrowed.

  18. Smeety, you’ve been proven wrong on your liberal remarks countless times before. And it looks like you’ve been proven wrong again. One would think you’d be tiring of being proven wrong.

  19. A good example in West Bend of wasting our money: http://www.jsonline.com/news/ozwash/highway-33-to-be-widened-in-washington-county-408ufu7-193354741.html

Expanding 33 from the Quarry past 144 ? I never see this area crowded except when the Snowbirds come back to roost. Sure the 2 intersections there are a bit dangerous but I can think of at least 3-4 other busier intersections (G & NN come to mind) that need work.

  20. I agree. As I’ve said before, the Dept. of Transportation is still riddled with fat. I’d really like to see a house cleaning there before just throwing more money at it.

Saul Alinsky would be proud of your tactics. If you can’t defend the message you simply attack the messenger.

Posted by .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on March 17, 2013 at 1035 hrs

  22. And what message am I suppose to be defending? I know you keep attempting to make me out to be a liberal but you’ve been proven wrong countless times on that subject. And that’s’ not attacking the messenger, that’s stating a fact. Defend your position if you can instead of persistantly trying to attack me.

Posted by .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on March 17, 2013 at 1404 hrs

  23. I wasn’t attacking you.  I was giving you credit as the first liberal to acknowledge that Barack Hussein Obama “owns the economy”.

  25. Well…  Jason countered your advocacy of Jim Doyle.  You are more than welcome to retort…

Posted by .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on March 17, 2013 at 1439 hrs

  26. My advocacy of Jim Doyle???

Scott Walker is responsible for the decisions he makes. Jim Doyle is not responsible for the decisions that Scott Walker makes.

President Obama is responsible for the decisions he makes. George Bush is not responsible for the decisions that President Obama makes.

Republicans have to quit blaming Doyle, and Democrats have to quit blaming Bush.

    Now, your remark,

“Smeety…blah blah blah blah blah blah blah….

Posted by Pat on March 16, 2013 at 0833 hrs

Saul Alinsky would be proud of your tactics. If you can’t defend the message you simply attack the messenger.age you simply attack the messenger.”

, indicates that I was attacking you. Not Jason. So, what message again is it that I’m suppose to be defending when I said, “Smeety, you’ve been proven wrong on your liberal remarks countless times before. And it looks like you’ve been proven wrong again. One would think you’d be tiring of being proven wrong.”?

Once and fore all, try to defend your position that I’m a liberal. I doubt you can.

  30. Pat,

How do you feel about Obamacare?

How do you feel about Obama potentially borrowing more money in his two terms than every other president before him combined?

We’ve had dozens and dozens of posts here about Obama’s spending.  I don’t remember once that you have ripped Obama for it, or Obamacare for that matter….

... but the first time Walker borrows (in a year, what Obama borrows in a day)... you rip.

You simply are following the Alinsky fourth rule: Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.
