Walker Open to More Tax Cuts

Good.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker says he’s open to other tax cuts beyond the $343 million income tax reduction he is proposing in his state budget.

Walker told reporters Thursday that he is open to listening to proposals from lawmakers who are looking at other tax cuts beyond what he is calling for. Walker’s income tax cut is a major part of his two-year budget plan he introduced last week.

Walker says he is willing to negotiate with Assembly Republicans who have been studying a variety of tax changes.

  1. How about tax abolition!

I could go for completely wiping out state income tax and state sales tax.

Its worked in New Hampshire for a long time.

  2. Where are the jobs ?

We need a United way thermometer outside the governors mansion with a jobs thermometer up to 250,000.

He has to balance the budget . He will be a one term governor of he is a budget cutter who could not deliver on his #  1 promise .

    Where are the jobs.?

  3. As a point of fact, Walker has yet to be a “budget cutter.” Both of his proposed budgets increased spending.

  4. It apparently does not matter whether making further cuts will put the budget in a structural deficit…since the one he has proposed in his budget already will.

Creating jobs has not been a goal of this governor based on his actions.  Even if he increased spending in his budget, he is doing it to fulfill his ideological goals rather than any practical actions to help the majority of citizens.

  5. Cut the gas tax.  WI has one of the highest cents per gallon tax rates in the country.  With the price of gas so expensive a tax cut here would help the economy.

Tell that to the miners who would have had jobs going by now if the Dem party had not bought out Schultz.  People like you Dave, really kind of sicken me.  You can sit on your perch and say ‘Walker doesn’t really support new jobs’ like you believe that all while the Party you vote for and support spends billions to sabotage job growth in the state.  Are you really slimey or just really stupid?
