Vote for Rose Fernandez

I had a long post written out about why you should support Rose Fernandez on Tuesday, but I accidentally hit the back button and lost it.  So… just read this and vote for Rose Fernandez.

  1. Thanks Owen. Another blogger whos opinion I trust endorsed Rose as well. This has been a very low profile race and it would be good for the state to have somebody who doesn’t talk eduspeak babble.

Rose seems very level headed. That would be a welcome relief.

  2. If we truly want to reform education in Wisconsin, we need to be able to think beyond sound bites.  As much as I am a fan of yours Owen, and I agree with you 99% of the time, you have this one wrong.  Van Mobley is the conservative choice in thsi race, and the only Republican who possibly has a shot of beating Evers.

To win this election, a candidate needs to be a realist.  Van has the right ideology, but he is smart enough to pick the fights on which he can have an impact (e.g., pushing for merit pay, maintianing the QEO, fixing MPS).

There si a reason conservatives suich as Glenn Grothman and Alberta Darling are supporting Van Mobley.  He is the right choice.

I am tired of Wisconsin Republicans backing losers only to ... giess what ... lose.

  3. Van doesn’t support expanding school choice.

Why should any Republican support him?

  4. “Republicans” supporting weak candidates, with McCain like ideologies, is why Republicans are the minority party. Now and in the foreseeable future. Let’s start throwing the ball long for a change.*

    *Warning-sports analogy.

  5. Rose can not beat Evers - Mobley can.

Mobley has always been for NOT repealing the QEO - Rose wasn’t.

Mobley has my vote on Tuesday.

  6. Does ANYONE know the stance of any of these candidate on:

    1. School prayer/moment of silence?

    2. Abstinence education?

    3. Intelligent design instruction?

    4. Corporal punishments?

Don’t bother with the libtards-Evers, Holtz or Price. I’m talking about Fernandez and Mobley.

    Thanks!
