U.S. Shoots Down Satellite

What a tremendous demonstration of the capabilities of our military.

The Pentagon says a U.S. missile smashed a disabled spy satellite that was headed for Earth and the military is tracking the debris as it falls over the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

[...]

Destroying the satellite’s onboard tank of about 1,000 pounds of hydrazine fuel was the primary goal, and a U.S. official earlier told NBC News that it “looks like the tank was hit.”

Not only did they hit it - they hit its fuel tank (probably)!  Wow.

  2. I’ve seen this in the news. This military capability of America made me feel worried; kind of afraid.

  3. I guess I would be a lot more impressed by a military capability that takes out a second string dictator and his immediate successors without losing thousands of our people and spending billions (or are we in the trillions now?)of dollars.
