UPASS

Seriously?  It’s called the UPASS?

Roughly 120 college students who use the UPASS system to take Wisconsin Coach Lines buses to campus from Waukesha and Kenosha will have to start paying for those services beginning in May, college administrators say.

It reminded of this top ten list of ill-conceived urls

  1. Actually I believe the acronym is hyphenated as U-PASS. I had one when I was attending MIAD, never used it though.

  2. Never used it? That is too bad. When I went to UWM (96-2001) I used it regularly. When I got to UWM I thought it was fantastic that I could just jump on any bus in the city and get where I needed to go, which was usually “the 30 bus” towards Grand Avenue Mall. When I was finishing up college, I lived down near Farwell and Brady, and used it every day to go to class, when I wasn’t riding my bike.

  4. JonnyV, I had a car, that was a million times more convenient than taking the bus. Especially if your time is valuable.
