U.N. Does What It Does

Nothing.

An emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council to discuss North Korea’s rocket launch has ended without agreement.

The council would continue consultations on the most appropriate way to respond, diplomats said.

Washington and Tokyo are seeking a strong response, but China and Russia have called for restraint.

Pyongyang says it launched a satellite early on Sunday but its neighbours say it was testing missile technology.

  1. What?! The UN has once again shown itself to be little more than a gathering of worthless windbags?! I am shocked.

  5. I think most of us here are aware of the many heinous atrocities committed against women and children around the world.  The U.N. has strongly condemned these actions.  However, for you to joke about the “planned” raping of children is equally revolting and repugnant.

    You’re an ass.
