Tubbs Allegedly Colludes With Protesters

Wow. If Chief Tubbs has been colluding with protesters to circumvent the law, he needs to go.

  1. This is too funny.  After all the reports of non-enforcement and preferential treatment, someone gets a video.  What does it take to shame these people?

  2. “Lalalalalalalalalalalalala I’m not listening!”

(Owen and Jed, you really need to get the beating the dead horse emoticon back.)

  4. Sort of interesting. You give the protestors an inch and they take a mile from you.

There seems to be a lesson in that statement for us in relation to the unionistas.  You can negotiate with this crew.

Bigger news today though was the newspaper editorial Falk published today regarding shutting down the govt. solely over getting collective bargaining back.  She put it in print.  She said she’ll do it.  Apparently restoring collective bargaining privileges are the single biggest issue facing the State right now.

  6. Sorry to be off-topic, but there was great commentary from both Sykes and Belling today, ripping the WI Senate GOP for trying to kill the mining bill.  Only the WI GOP would screw up good policy and good politics.

  8. I’ve noticed that although the protesters are fewer in number, they seem to be more disperate in their tone.  I have felt that feeling of being in danger at certain times.  I consider myself a fairly big boy to get that feeling working at our state capitol.  I wonder how other staffers feel who aren’t 230 lb men.  I also don’t know anyone who thinks Tubbs is doing his job.  At times their seems to be no rules whatsoever.

  9. Tubbs is a complete disgrace.  When are the Republicans going to get some backbone and fire this bozo?  Put a real cop in this position and secure the damn Capitol!

  10. If it was a TEA Party rally doing same thing (assuming TEA Party team would ever be that rude, which is a stretch), I bet Tubbs hauls them all out in handcuffs.

  11. What do you folks want Chief Tubbs to do?  Bring in a bunch of officers with helmets and billy clubs?  Is that what you really want—violence?  This situation could get completely out of hand very quickly.

Yes, he is dealing with a group of real turds—there is no other way to describe this scum class.  But do you really want a full-blown riot?  Frankly, that is exactly what this group of malingerers wants!

It is a good thing that the folks to whom Chief Tubbs reports at the Department of Administration are better judges of his actions than some of the dunces who post here.

  12. since all these protesters love to think back upon the great protests of the 60’s, how about we also bring back some of the ‘lets go kick the crap out of the hippies’, another great blast from the past…

    Sounds fun to me

  13. some of the dunces who post here.

The rule of law, not of men — an ideal tracing back to the ancient Greeks and well-known to our Founding Fathers — is the animating principle of the American experiment.  I may be a dunce but I will never accept anarchy.

I think Chief Tubbs should enforce the law but also the Dane County judiciary should prosecute these offenders to the fullest extent of the law.

  14. “What do you folks want Chief Tubbs to do?  Bring in a bunch of officers with helmets and billy clubs?”

Actually, that would have been perfectly appropriate for this situation.

  15. Anne, you miss the point that Tubbs was well aware that this group was going to be in the Capitol without a permit and interfering with folks who were in there with a permit and holding weddings.  Instead of preventing “turds” (an accurate label) from even getting in the building to disrupt the weddings (which I believe was their real mission) he sought to appease the turds.  Why didn’t he instead appease the folks getting married and who went through the hoops to get permits?  He could have easily prevented this dust-up by telling the turds well-beforehand tht on this day, because they failed to get a permit, they were nto going to beallowed into the building.  Further, if they created a ruckus they wouldnever be allowed in without a permit.

I wish that someone could explain to me why it i that there is a special class of folks who don’t have to file for permits and jump all of the bureaucratic hurdles that the rest of us have to jump.  Everyone else has to do it.  Why is this group exempt?

I was thinking more like cattle prods. The smelly, bleating sheep need to be herded out the doors.

  17. Nice to see Anne is so concerned with the people who had their weddings disturbed….

Someone mentioned the TEA party, they would have filed for and paid for the appropriate permit and been respectful.

  18. Someone mentioned the TEA party, they would have filed for and paid for the appropriate permit and been respectful.

Perhaps not in the future.  Looks likeyou get a better deal if you just show up and act like a bunch of jerks and crybabies.

  19. Actually, that would have been perfectly appropriate for this situation.

Pepper spray is far more effective, does less permanent damage to the target, and keeps the retaliation to a minimum.

When the turds see the cops bringing in the exhaust fans they’ll know it’s time to go.

  20. You guys are unbelievable! Your admiration for the 1st amendment rights of the “turds” makes me thankful we aren’t trying to pass the Bill of Rights today.  You probably thought the “free speech zones” Bush used to separate himself from his detractors were entirely appropriate too.  You’d have been great with the civil rights marches of the 60’s too. How sad for the future of this republic.

  21. I love how Dave and the other turds don’t believe in equal protection under the law.  I mean, for them it’s “Make those evil teabaggers pay, or not get permits or boot ‘em out of their rallies, or shout them down…but the thugs disrupting the weddings of people that went through the process…those are angels, don’t you dare touch them!”

    Hypocrites.
