Times Square Recruiting Station Bombed

Glad nobody got hurt, but I hope they nab the perpetrators and throw the book at them.

An explosive device has caused minor damage to a military recruitment centre on New York City’s Times Square.

The blast occurred before daybreak, when the centre was empty. No-one was hurt. A glass window was smashed.

Police blocked off the area. The recruiting station, located on a traffic island, has occasionally been the site of anti-war protests.

Asked if it could be a terror attack, a US Homeland Security Department told Reuters: “we’re investigating.”

  2. Careful, justamom.  Some of our liberal friends around here get testy about comments like that.

  3. But don’t question their patriotism, right?  Don’t question whether or not they support the troops, right?

  4. Exactly.  See, that wasn’t so hard, was it?  In fact, I’m pretty sure they LOVE the troops, and their way of expressing it was to detonate explosives in front of that station.

    Yep, I feel better already.
