Three Branches for Palm Sunday

Here’s Elliot’s take on the MJS’ Clifford endorsement.

In their inevitable editorial endorsing liberal lawyer Linda Clifford for Wisconsin’s Supreme Court, the Miwaukee Journal Sentinel dismissed concerns that Clifford might be an “activist judge” by saying:

The law must evolve to meet changing needs.

Sure, sometimes the law might need to change with the times. Luckily, we have an entire branch of government dedicated to changing the law when it needs changing: it’s called the legislature.

Yep.  Actually, upon reading the MJS’ endorsement, I just assumed it was an April Fool’s joke.

  1. The next thing that happens is that they get a complaint filed with the SEB for putting a “newspapers for Clifford” editorial on their editorial page.

  2. Right on, Owen!  What a miscarriage of justice it was when the US Supreme Court overturned the Virginia law which made it a crime for a man of one race to marry a woman of another race!  We could have kept the white race “pure” for at least another generation if those awful old white men hadn’t let the Constitution “breath!”

    Bravo, Owen, bravo!
