The Obama Deficit

Stunning.

The $1.75 trillion deficit projected for this year would represent 12.3 percent of the gross domestic product, double the previous post-war record of 6 percent in 1983, when Ronald Reagan was president, and the highest level since the deficit totaled 21.5 percent of GDP in 1945, at the end of World War II.

  1. Remember, this value is independent of TARP II and special expenditures for Iraq/Afganistan. Include those and we’re well past Reagan’s deficits.

  2. But Obama sounds so good when he speaks. Why should we care about anything else?

  3. Palin will be able to complain about the Obama deficit in 2012…  does anyone really believe he is going to reduce it later on?

Welcome to the real world State Senator Obama…

I must be the only person in the world who doesn’t find him to be a particularly compelling speaker.  I think it’s that he just comes across as an insincere, full of himself egomaniac with no real reason to have a big ego.
