Heh.
A Walker’s Point strip club is once again trying to obtain a license to allow 18- to 20-year-olds to enter the club, even though it serves alcohol.
Ald. James Witkowiak has sent a letter to nearby residents saying Solid Gold strip club, 813 S. 1st St., has applied for a license to become a “center for the visual and performing arts.” It did the same thing almost five years ago under the name Club Paradise.
The designation, when created, was aimed at facilities such as the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts that sell wine or other drinks before performances.
To be considered for such a designation, there are two requirements, said Ald. James Bohl, chairman of the Common Council’s Licenses Committee. It has to have a stage that fits size requirements and artwork deemed recognizable by experts.
I guess it’s all a matter of getting the apropriate “experts.”
I am the best man in a wedding coming up this fall and would like to offer up our “expertise” on this issue
I say go for it.
This way at least some MPS students will know anatomy.
Leave it to a right-winger to find this wholesome.
If it were a San Francisco style club I could safely assume it would be hell to pay.
I have this sad feeling that some MPS students are already way too familiar with anatomy.
And I consider myself a liberal.
Ever heard of the word “facetious”?
Adam Adam Adam… You and Scott will get along great on this blog.
Gentlemen,
I guess I have my conservative moments!
Facetious, to say the least, is calling a strip club a “center for visual and performing arts”. I understand.
I am also not amused!
Are Witkowiak’s constituents that dumb?
I am not familiar with Milwaukee’s Aldermanic districts, but I can’t believe neighbors in any district would fall for this.
