Strangely Quiet in Milwaukee

Hmmm....

We were just at a polling location in Milwaukee with 3-4 wards at the one location.  Poll workers are SHOCKED across the city that the polls are this dead at 7:00pm CST.

  2. What is so odd about it? Obama’s supporters called in sick today to work so they could stand in line to vote. That way they didn’t waste anytime tonight voting when they could be partying. They needed to use up their sick days at work now that they are mandated they will get a new batch. Unless their jobs are terminated as their employers leave town.

Oops, no job to go back to. Funny how those things work out.

  3. Waukesha was the same way.  There was hardly any waiting at all.  There were a large percentage of absentee ballots however, so we figured that a large portion of people chose to vote that way this year to avoid the long lines.  I know our ward had a pretty high turnout.  Not everyone showed up, but if I’m doing my math right (which I’m probably not) about 88% of voters showed up.  When you start figuring in new registrations vs. already registered voters, I’m sure the numbers change a bit, but I don’t know how to figure those numbers out.
