State Senator Sues The Big Guy

So who does God get as a lawyer?

Nebraska Democratic State Senator Ernie Chambers has decided to go straight to the top in an effort to stop natural disasters from befalling the world.

Chambers filed a lawsuit against God in Douglas County Court Friday afternoon, KPTM Fox 42 reported.

The suit asks for a “permanent injunction ordering Defendant to cease certain harmful activities and the making of terroristic threats.”

The lawsuit identifies the plaintiff as, “the duly elected and serving State Senator from the 11th Legislative District in Omaha, Nebraska.”

  1. Figures a Dim-bulb ‘Rat would do that.

He’s doing it because he believes that anybody should be allowed to sue everybody everywhere in Nebraska.  What a dumbshit (can I say that here?).

  3. How crazy!

That would be like claiming that God put you here to go to war with Iraq.

For a local loony, how about textbooks as shields?

  5. Aww c’mon, it is kinda funny!

I find it strange that he’s filing to protest proposed laws restricting frivilous lawsuits when his suit is the poster child for them.

  6. “Who does God get as a lawyer?”

    Anyone he wants.

Personally, if I were God, I’d take Clarence Darrow. (The fact that Darrow was an agnostic makes him an even more interesting choice. wink

On the other hand, Abe Lincoln wouldn’t be too bad a choice either. Not many American jury’s are going to vote against Abe.
